"it is very good, but q39 is still my favorite. the meat burned ending were juicy and not too fat, the sausage was delicious. corn cheese was mac and cheese sauce with mais, quite interesting. kartoffelsalat was just okay, but I am picky with kartoffelsalat in general, so it could only be me. I would go back, but q39 would be my first choice. I was not offered various types of bbq sauce, but overheared the options of spicy, hot and regular offered at another table near. service was really good overall, friendly waitress, she suggested my order from the combo pick 2 on her special, as it matched what I wanted, that saved me over $2, very appreciated. I love her pickles! cruel and dirty!"

Good BBQ so you need to plan ahead. Very busy but attentive friendly staff! The broccoli was loved by all, baby back ribs a hit, and pork burnt ends just melted! Brisket and chicken (in photo) were good but not as smoked or seasoned as I like. Putting sauce on for plating suggests lack of flavour of the meat in my books.

everything about this place was excellent from ambiente to eating and even waiting staff. I ordered the pulled schweinemac and cheese that came out in an ENORMOUS part and was the most creamy mac and cheese I've ever had. of smokey taste of drawn pork, it was really an experience. I also ordered her **** mary to supplement my meal and it was so delicious. the tomato taste was accompanied by a slightly smoky taste that completely surprised me. this delicious concoction was filled by no other than drawn pork filled green olives that are heaven in and by themselves. if they are looking for a delicious kansas city bbq, they don't see.

I've been eating at smokestacks since they opened when I was a kid. this was the original second position and as great as the original. then, as most know, it continued as a jack stack and is as big as ever. this original location for jack stack was rebuilt during the kovid, and the new layout is excellent. the feeling of the original with a small ramp between flat, decoration. had excellent staff, lady was here for 18 years. I had one of my choices, burning. had the cheese maisbäckerei and fantastically baked beans as side. also on the maisbrot crooked and almost forgotten to put it for review and share it here. one of the real originals of kc.

"We are in town for New Years and a Chiefs game. Bristol’s was recommended by our Airbnb host and it did not disappoint. We made reservations for 6 top and arrived 15 minutes early and we were seated promptly. Adam was our waiter and was amazing. He is the reason for a solid 5 stars. He made great recommendations for us, kept our drinks filled at all times and cleared our table quickly after we finished with a serving. We started with cauliflower, calamari and oysters for appetizers. All three were very good, but the cauliflower stole the show. It was so good. Secondly, 3 of us had Cesar salads and they were great. The dressing is made fresh daily and it makes all the difference. My husband ordered the bisque and he was nice enough to swap with me halfway through because I loved the bisque when I tried his. For entrees we had a variety of things off the menu. One member of our party had the Tuna and said it was exceptionally good. Another had the filet and crab cake and loved both. He commented on the crab cake being the best he has ever had. Another member had the KC strip and said the flavor was great, but the steak was on the tough side. Another member had the chicken, it was a large serving and was very flavorful and good. The potatoes were a standout on this dish. I had the sea bass and it was okay. I’ve had better, but it was still pretty good. I didn’t finish all of it. It was. Bite rubbery and I probably wouldn’t order it again if I went back. Our last member decided on the lobster Mac and cheese. It was good, but not a stand out. Lastly we had cream brûlée for dessert. We are a bit of hard judges when it comes to crème brûlée and we would give this a 7/10. It needed a bit more toasting on the top. Over all we had a great evening with great friends along with exceptional serves from Adam. We will definitely come back if ever in KC."
