"I work not too far from Plume so we eat there fairly regularly. I 've never had anything I didn 't like! The Banana Chaat is so good. Their Appom and Naan are really good and the Pork Axione is one of my favorites! Do as they suggest and cross the damn bridge to go enjoy this little gem of a restaurant. If you like Indian food you will not be disappointed. Service: Dine in"

"The best $10 Burrito I had! Great vegan menu, it was so hard to choose. I ended with the Burro Verde (without cheese or sour cream). Such a unique combination of aromas with black beans, rice, mushrooms, artichoke hearts and more! Very tasty and filling for the price. Hot sauce was as described “our hot” and a few drops were the perfect companion with every bite. I ordered to go, but the service was good and the food was very fast ready. Also ordered chips with guac salsa, which were above average. I highly recommend looking for vegan Mexican in NOLA."

"Okay, this place is not commercial at all. Not like izzos, etc., but I was impressed by the restaurant atmosphere. Look at it. Feel it. Service was spectacular. The price was amazing. Not too expensive. especially for the amount of food. This place is great for casual food. Had 3 different meats in my tacos. Most places make you one, even if there is a 2 or three tacos. Great!"

"After the visit, this was invited for a business lunch. It seems that this is an institution in New Orleans Food-lore.... to add to the literally hundreds of other food institutions in New Orleans. Nice bar while you walk on the way, but that was a work lunch. A few in my party of four were here before and before we even got into the menu, said that one of their signature dishes and must have been the Hamburg steak. As a big fan of everything that was remotely related I was in and only doubtful my pages of salad and pommes. Now the other menu items I saw coming also looked quite delicious and I will plan another stop at some point, although the West Bank location is not quite comfortable. (All four of us had Hamburger Steak) Steak was smeared in mushrooms and onions in engraving, fries were crispy and hot for engraving excavators and the salad was serviceable. Everything with iced tea for a big meal to seal a deal. Service was friendly and contemporary. I have to try to increase more than once, but I'm pretty sure it would go higher if and when I do."

"My husband and I just visited the Home Cooking Cafe for the 1st time today for lunch! The Manager Mike was our server. We had heard so many wonderful things on Facebook about this place now we know why! My hubby had the Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy and house salad. I had the Shrimp Garlic Noodles, sauteed corn and red beans rice. Everything was fresh, hot and melt-in-your-mouth-leave-you-begging-for-more-time-to-take-a-nap-now delicious! Needless to say, we will return! Thanks for everything Mike!"
