"The short ribs and Coquille St. Jacques were delicious. Our server was friendly and personable. Table was uncomfortable and crowded by the one next to us, but all the two-tops in the restaurant are like that. The Chardonnay by the glass is awful...tastes like hairspray. The creme brulee was good, but very sweet. Overall, much better experience than our visit last spring when we were visiting. Curious why there is no chicken dish on the menu...seems odd for a French restaurant. Also, it'd be nice if the cassoulet was available each evening, not just Thursdays. I've been to other French restaurants where it's available each night."

Really a lovely dinner. A waiter who was helpful and not intrusive in any way. Cozy surroundings, warm and attractive. Food was well prep’d, timely but not rushed. We loved it.

Our experience at La Chaumiere was exceptional. From the service, to the food, to the ambiance, to the amicability of the fellow customers, the dining experience was most memorable. I highly recommend the cheese soufflé and the venison medallions. We will definitely be returning to La Chaumiere in the near future.
