"I rarely review restaurants, but will make an exception for this one. Everything we had was quite good. Our waiter, who seemed to also perhaps be an owner, seemed quite proud of the food. The octopus was excellent; the bread was exceptional. It was perhaps our best meal in SoHo. I would describe the offerings as small plates. We ordered two appetizers and two of the smaller main courses, and it was plenty."

Outstanding wine selection, really good small bites, friendly staff who were extremely helpful in selecting wine. I would strongly recommend this for anyone in the area looking for a wine bar with unique choices and good service.

I love La Compagnie. I've been there several times, but this last time I brought two friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. The staff is all super knowledgable about the wine and food. They had excellent recommendations. Everyone is lovely and professional. The ambiance is fantastic, dark, quiet, cozy, and romantic. I love it here.
