He also suggested going from the restaurant to the castle, which was a pleasant hike. Fortunately, asparagus was in the season and I enjoyed a perfectly prepared dish with Hollandaise sauce. A slowly braided and delicate pork with sauerkraut and my first German food would be hard to get up."

Fantastic lunch before visiting the castle Mespelbrunn on the way from Frankfurt to Rothenburg. Friendly, helpful staff welcomed us after our long flight from New York. The owner explained the menu and the special features and offered us instructions detailing the castle and the surrounding landscape. Delicious meal of traditional German classics. Great start on our vacation.
