"Delicious food and icey mug of rootbeer. The Diet Rootbeer was AMAZING in a frosty mug. I loved the wonderful Senior staff and the dishes they used instead of throw away Styrofoam. Wonderful, small town stop!"

"Great burger, tasty mac n cheese, fish fry was good but don't eat the slaw...first, it was warm, so we asked for another one that was cold. Waitress said they are all warm as they are sitting under the warmer. (Fish fry is available all day so do they keep them there all day She came back a bit later with one she said she found in the cooler. Thanked her and tried it. Hubby asked me to try it and I had to spit it out. Cabbage was certainly bad and it was very off Told our server who said to us, A lot of people tell us they don't like the slaw Hello, it's bad. She said they make it every Fri for fish fry but I didn't find out if they actually buy the products each Friday or monthly...other than the slaw, the food is good."

"This stuck out as an interesting restaurant to check out after visiting House on the Rock. Our waitress was very attentive and did an exceptional job. All the food was good. The root beer was good as well as my rumble burger and rumble fries. Of course I had to order cheese curds as well since we were in Wisconsin, and a turtle sundae for dessert. I was extra hungry after going through the h house all day and not eating. This place had so much character and the pictures on the wall shows the staff has had a lot of fun over the years. I was sad to see a sign on the door that they will be closing. I'm glad we happened by when we did."

"The cafe has a beautiful setting overlooking a bend in the Wisconsin River. It is located in an architecturally distinctive building originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, with construction overseen by William Wesley Peters and built by the Kraemer Brothers of Plain, WI. In addition to the great view and architecture, the food is very good with an American menu that has good variety including meat, fish and vegetarian. Pies are excellent. It is my favorite non-Italian restaurant in Wisconsin. Just for comparison, my favorite Italian is Biaggi's in Middleton/Madison."
