"After a long time, I visited this place, i don't remember exactly what was the name of the old restaurant, but Locanda Vecchia is the successor and seems to be a perfect fit. At first look, it is like a seashore side beautiful house with a porch and all. The food and ambiance are welcoming. My group had 4 of the 5 of us new to LV. Availability of the porch is nice (except for the occasional loud vehicle passing by). Pricing and options are good, food is fresh and well prepared, and the staff is attentive. Pasta portions are especially generous. You cannot go wrong at Locanda Vecchia.

Service was very good and attentive for the most part. The food was very dated. I ordered the duck legs in port wine sauce with truffle mashed potatoes. The duck was a bit dry, but decent. The port sauce was way too sweet, and was awful when eaten with the truffle mashed potatoes. We also ordered the fried calamari and shrimp. The oil temp was clearly too low as the dish tasted of oil. My wife ordered the eggplant parm, which was decent but definitely not worth the $25.Much better Italian restaurants in the area.
