"You know how in neo-noir movies there's meetings with shady characters where they talk business over sake and sushi? Yeah, that would be this place. The food is pretty great, I can't complain. Freshly served and neat presentation. Had some miso soup and a Cherry Blossom roll with hot tea, and they were pretty good and just plain pretty. Portions are on the smaller side though, so be warned. The atmosphere is not extraordinary, but it works well. It's an unfussy place, didn't seem very crowded. Saw this place on the street and decided to give it a try. The inside is very cute. The food was simple but delicious. However, I have to take a star off for the food prepping time. The vegetables on the sides are delicious. A bit pricy but that’s okay. It’s sf. Will try again another day.

Pleasantly surprised we just stumbled upon this location while we were walking around downtown San Francisco while I were staying at the Saint Francis Westin. For the life of us we don’t understand why someone would give this a 3.5 star rating it is a five star all the way excellent sushi excellent atmosphere wonderful service…!!!
