"I’d been to the World War One Museum several times before I even noticed it had a cafe. I’m glad I decided to check it out. The reviewers who claim the cafe doesn't serve hot food had a different experience than my friend and I had. I admit that I was disappointed they no longer serve entrees based on the food soldiers ate in the trenches during the war (other than trench stew, which is still on the menu). But they make a nice reuben, and when we were there they had scones made with a period recipe (though I regret not getting jam to put on them). The service is polite, the dining area is comfortable and the decor is good."

My wife and I recently ate here when visiting the museum and we were pleasantly surprised. She had the Rueben and really enjoyed it. I had some of the best potato soup I’ve ever had in my life. Employees were friendly and the food came out very quickly. Would recommend

I heard that they recently started serving some hot food items. I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the Reuben sandwich and the Trench stew. Both were excellent. My wife had the turkey club which she enjoyed as well, a generous portion. The staff was very friendly.

A convenient lunch during our museum visit. Trench stew was very filling. There were multiple sandwich and burger options as well as a homemade soup of the day. Staff helped me with gluten free options.Dietary restrictions: Trench stew is gluten free. They also had a gluten free cookie (Udi's I think).Kid-friendliness: A couple kids menu options. My son had grilled cheese.
