"Took a break from a skiing holiday to visit Innsbruck. The city is much like any other european large town with exception of the 'old town '. This is very much worth seeing with many medieval buildings and squares still intact. Consequently, there is an element of tourist tat and some restaurants with photos of 'traditional ' meals. We were fortunate therefore to find the pianobar just off the main square and the house with the 'golden roof '. Really nice place with a long bar and main eating area towards the back. Friendly service and varied inexpensive menu to customers who were a mix of tourists and locals. Meals (Rosti) were really good. Freshly cooked with lovely side salad. Cant fault...

Innsbruck, nestled in the Austrian Alps, charms with its stunning mountain views and blend of urban and outdoor life. Try Tiroler Gröstl, a hearty mix of potatoes, beef, and onions.
