"Food always tastes good, but I never get what I ordered. Got the Jack Fillet dinner and the fish was good, but got the wrong side and no soda. Also ordered coleslaw which I did not get. If something is not available take it off the memo!"

"FINALLY a proper THAI restaurant, staffed with THAI people who understand the food. My wife and I live in Thailand, but we've been staying in the St Louis Fairview Heights area for about two months. We have tried LOTS of local Thai restaurants, only to be disappointed over and over again. But Tong Phoon is serving real Thai food. First of all, they have the most important ingredient, which is the famous Thai (Jinda)Chili. Other restaurants in the area say they don't have any. How can you make Thai food without Thai chilies? I would say that you can't. Second, the owner here said they can customize food, like making it taste authentic rather than Americanized. Other restaurants told us that they cannot customize anything because they pre-make all the sauces in advance. The main problem with Americanized Thai food is the loads of sugar they add. I guess they want to make it taste like American-Chinese food, since this genre is more widely known. But the beauty of Thai cuisine is the balance of its impactful flavors spicy, sour, and sweet. In any case, from now on, whenever we are in town, Tong Phoon shall be our new go-to."

"It has been a long time since I went out to eat and received great service. Ever since covid it seems like every restaurant, if they are open for inside dining, has employees who just don't care. Is my daughter and I just ate at the Fairview Heights longhorn and it was amazing. The food was great. My steak was cooked perfect. The staff was really hustling to provide great service to the customer's. Highly recommend this place!"

"We had a wonderful server at this restaurant! Cheese biscuits were hot and tasty. Mashed potatoes were yummy. Clam chowder was very salty, grilled salmon was pretty tasteless; expected better. Slaw, well, I didn’t eat it because of vinegar taste."

"Our visit to the restaurant is usually pleasant, but it was not as enjoyable this time. Despite being short-staffed, the employees who were working were very kind and professional. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the presence of some rude customers. I commend the staff for handling the situation well. It was disheartening to witness the disrespectful behavior of the family towards their elderly member."

"Ordered take out thinking i'd grab a quick bite of Italian. Grilled chicken fettuccine...pretty hard to mess that up. Straight to the point, it was not good. But the owner made it right. The positives...great location, excellent menu. Kind of a divey old Italian joint vibe. The kind of place you really want to be delicious. To be fair, dining is is probably an entirely different experience."
