"A group of us were traveling through on a motorcycle trip down the 101 and we stayed for a couple of days in Crescent City. We toured the area and visited the Redwood Forest and went on a fishing trip. While we were there we went to Schmidt's House of Jambalaya. We are so glad we went. There was a group of seven of us and we ordered a variety of things including soup salad and shrimp and every single person at the table raved about how good their food was. One guy who was with us said it's the best French Onion soup he's had in a long long time. The wait staff were excellent and attentive to detail. The food came out in a reasonable time. Perfect outside seating overlooking the beach. The jambalaya was superb and that's coming from someone who lived in Louisiana for a long time! Service was fast and friendly. Thank you!

We finely made our way to Schmidt's House of Jambalaya. Well worth the wait. Vibrant yet relaxing atmosphere. The service is excellent. The food came out hot and timely. I had the fish and chips. Maybe a little too greasy for me but still yummy. The fries were awesome. My guy had the jambalaya and said it was pretty darn good. As a local, I will look forward to the next time.
