"This place is sosoossosoo delicious. We have been here probably a dozen times. Anna at the front counter is SO SWEET. the waiters always have a great personality. the food is really, truly good. we love getting the meatball with an extra side of straciatella, lots of focaccia bread, and a classic stracci pizza!! stupid good. we love it. they do make a lot of food fresh, so it’s highly unlikely you can get takeout when it’s getting close to the end of the night. and occasionally they will have to turn you away if it’s close to closing time, because they’ll be fully committed on pizzas for the evening. there are no reservations unless you have a party of 5+ people. they do make the waiting time pleasant by allowing you to buy drinks and focaccia : and there are a lot of standing tables outside for while you wait!!! again the focaccia is literally life changing. and they hand make the cheese that is on all the pizzas. my husband and I are very big foodies (and travellers and we haven’t been anywhere in DC or Italy that has better pizza than Stracci. also surprisingly affordable if you aren’t drinking."

"Decided to stop for lunch based on Yelp reviews while in town for my daughter's graduation from Georgetown. Everything was amazing! We were immediately impressed when we walked in. It was obviously a pretty new place, and looked cool. The staff greeted us very warmly, as did our waitress. She (Aleksandra was very attentive, polite and friendly. Excellent service! The four of us shared a couple of pizzas and squash ravioli (if I remember correctly or was it gnocchi? . Delicious, all of it! Sorry to wait so long to review, but was just going through receipts and was reminded of what a nice lunch we had, and decided to find you on FB. Not sure we'll be back that way soon, but if we are, we'll be sure to hit Lena's again."

"This was my first Japanese food experience in the area, and Sumo Hibachi doesn't stand out on my list of memorable places to eat. The sushi wasn't bad, although I wish the menu mentioned it had wasabi inside. The spring rolls weren't bad either and went well with the sauce. However, the chicken with the hibachi plate was quite soft and chewy, which is less tasty than compared to a bit of char. The dressing on the salad wasn't very tasty either. The food itself warrants a star off. The other star deduction comes from the 18% gratuity at the end of the meal, regardless of party size. I've seen many restaurants add a mandatory gratuity for large groups (i.e. 6+ but it's quite rare that you're charged 18% on top of your meal regardless. That's never a good look for a restaurant. I will say the show they do in the back looked entertaining though, but I didn't get to experience it first hand."
