"Decent quality and prices, friendly staff. Green Beans and hush puppies were delicious, bacon on the BLT was thick cut and crisp, chicken was a bit salty for my taste though. Green beans are out of the can and doctored up, hush puppies and biscuits are made in-house, (we asked). The most disappointing part was that there are billboards for the hand breaded chicken everywhere, but they don't serve it until 11am, it's not available on the breakfast menu. All Canvas photos in the restaurant are for sale, sides are available in pint sizes, salad bar looked appetizing. Overall, the best meal I had traveling back to VA from NC."

On Sunday there. Waited a while before he sat. Ordered signature roasted chicken and a BBQ brisket sandwich and a chicken dumping soup. The main court is okay, but the secondary court is really good. We liked the Hush puppies, the Koleslaws and the cucumber salad. The Mac'n cheese is okay. I enjoyed the chicken and dumplings soup. It wasn't spectacular, but secret. Not too salty as other restaurants. Overall, it is a ok restaurant for the region in.

We ordered a bowl of Brunswick Stew and Dark Chicken Dinner with Hush Puppies, mashed potatoes n? gravy, and Brunswick stew. The Brunswick stew: ?Southland?s own recipe includes pulled chicken, chopped pork, okra corn, limas, potatoes, and tomatoes. It was filling and delicious. The Dark Chicken Dinner: the fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy&tender on the inside. Be careful, it?s really hot, let it cool before chomping it down. Hush puppies was just the right amount of sweetness. Highly recommend the fried chickens.

"I’m a local and have tried Eagle Creek Grill several times. I must say that I am amazed with many of the reviews I’ve been reading because the service has been awful EVERY visit. If you’re hungry, this is not the place to go because service is never quick. I come because I’m hungry and I’m ready to eat. Why have I given them so many chances? Because they’re close by and the options sound fantastic, I just keep hoping the next time is gonna be better....no such luck! I’m willing to wager that most of the good reviews came from people that were drinking. Needless to say, while I will not ever come to the restaurant to eat again, (because in addition to the extremely long wait, they often refuse to honor the price on the “specials” board), I really enjoy the cheese curds so I called in for an order on my way home yesterday and surprisingly they were ready when I arrived.....so I was at the bar every bit of 15 minutes watching my food sit in the window getting cold while I waited for someone to acknowledge me and get change. Btw, Credit card companies charge fees to companies utilizing the benefits of accepting card payments, Eagle Creek likes to pass those on to their customers, while most restaurants consider that one of the costs of doing business. Whether you pay with card or cash your bill will include a credit card fee of 3%. Management, I sincerely hope you rethink that practice."
