"I remember going to Sports Fans all the way back in high school (pretty much 20 years ago, gosh I'm old now). This is yet another long standing Bettendorf institution I hadn't been back to visit since moving back to the area about two years ago. After spending some time in the Village of East Davenport, I was still hungry and very awake, so I decided to stop by on the way home. Oh my god...this was not the time to stop by Sports Fans. I don't think I'd seen this place as full as this any other time I'd visit. Literally every table was full and there were no seats at the bar. And the place was LOUD. Fortunately, two people got up from the bar and I was able to get a seat within 5 minutes of...

Unfortunately, the pizza we just had delivered was overdone, see photo. We were hoping to add this to our rotation of Quad City Style pizza places but I'm shocked they let this go out the door. A large, almost $30 pizza, should under no circumstances arrive at the customer like this. The manager needs to make sure they don't let pizzas like this get delivered.

They were pretty busy . The Kitchen was overwhelmed I think . It took forever to get our food. Our waitress Gabby was awesome. She was hustling all night . We had a house salad. Pretty good portion size . I shared it with my son . The wings had a good flavor but were definitely mushy . No crispness at all . The pizza took well over an over to get but it was actually really good . I had the chicken bacon ranch. Whole pieces of bacon across it and nice size chunks of chicken . The manager comped our drinks . Definitely appreciated but not necessary. Our experience was probably a bad night and the food is good enough that I would give it another shot if in the area

"While this restaurant has an upscale atmosphere, unfortunately, we didn’t feel that the food followed through. Our table ordered the filet trio, the 14 ounce ribeye, and the Parmesan crusted NY strip. All of our steaks were cooked well to the appropriate temperature and looked delicious, but the ribeye was thin, and the Parmesan crust on both the strip and one of the filets was just a little over the top for us. The crust itself just wasn’t what we were expecting and there was quite a lot of it. The garlic mash I had with my strip I thought was pretty good. Creamy, though a bit heavy on the garlic. The others at the table felt it was too much like a purée consistency and not quite a mash. A lot of other reviews say the steaks are overpriced and I have to agree there, especially for the ribeye. The strip was probably the best steak we ordered— a little over an inch thick and tender, but the ribeye was probably 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick and we were questioning whether it was actually a full 14 ounces. The side of lobster mac cheese, however, was very good. Now, this is being really not-picky here, but I even felt that the Caesar salad was a little lack luster. A majority of the romaine in my salad was slightly brown on the edges, but I really liked the dressing and the croutons. All this being said, this was our first time here. We really can’t speak to the quality of the Italian offerings here, so maybe those dishes really are the stars at this establishment. I can say with certainty, though, that we are unlikely to return for steak. We would maybe consider trying something else here if we’re ever back in the area."
