"we have walked in, no reservation and have to sit on the bar. the staff (including man and woman) is friendly, knowledgeable and will speak English with them if they prefer: we had great tapas, today special and flame-breaking with wein. the place is very small, only 7 tables inside, but is a must to visit in rugen. wine selection is large, eating is excellent, and the staff is super friendly. the prices are reasonable. we liked it so much that we came back three times in five days: they don't really have enough different options in the food to support three days in succession, but their quality, friendly attitude and wine selection does. highly recommended."

"I have written my opinion about this restaurant and its managing director Sabri Abid several times, but unfortunately he repeatedly deletes my reviews so that nobody can come together with his staff. I had worked there for two weeks and had to leave. Sabri Abid insulted me several times during work and called. Every day I drove over the island and had no gasoline money or paid from him. He just didn't pay me! When that wasn't enough, he didn't even tell me when I worked with him. That means I worked there black without knowing. I hope the customs will do something about it someday. I can imagine if I see Sabri Abid again, he'll be practical. But it's not a problem if he has to deal with young people. In my eyes, the worst person I've ever met, and I've met a lot of scams. I'm glad I don't work anymore. The food may taste delicious, but I prefer to go to the restaurant around the corner, for someone like this I don't spend a cent more."

"We were there at the WE for dinner and it was great. Delicious super fresh fish in rustic ambience, good value for money, nice staff. Many locals were there to eat, always a good sign. Offer depending on season. We had flounder and cod, Superlecker."

"Wir haben draußen ein kleines Mittagessen eingenommen. Das Essen war gut, aber der Service der jungen Bedienung müsste unbedingt verbessert werden. Da es recht warm war, saßen wir schön im Schatten. Auch andere Gäste wollten das gern, nur leider durften die Tische nicht ein kleines Stück versetzt werden. Selbst für Durchgänge hätte der Platz gereicht. So blieben viele Tische leer und die Leute gingen genervt. Auch auf das Abwischen des Tisches musste die Bedienung aufmerksam gemacht werden. Empfehlen können wir für mittags: Reibekuchen mit Lachs."

"das Restaurant liegt super am Beginn des Südstrands. Die Terrasse ist beschattet und sogar bei schlechtem Wetter geöffnet, es sind Wärmelampen vorhanden. Das Essen ist super lecker und der Service zuvorkommend, herzlich und kinderlieb. Empfehlung: Fischergeist bei Regenwetter auf der Terrasse, gehüllt in Decken!!!"
