Strouds is always excellent. Hostess was very friendly and waitress was excellent. Food came out hot and best chicken in city.

Wow. My stomach hurts cause I cannot stop eating. When you have to pop a button on the pants you know the food is good. Service is great and got in quick and served quick too. Loved it !!

"WOW! I had the bacon sausage with gravy and an egg over easy! Get the hot sauce on the side because it is hot! Excellent original restaurant. Looking forward to trying some of the wieners at home. Bought some bierocks to take home. My Wife had the classic dog and a salad. Very good. Oh my goodness the bierocks were fantastic . "We dine at this location frequently, but this time our waitress Jennifer was fabulous! She was so attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of the entire visit. She even brought a warm cup of water to my daughter because she was cold!! The food is always good, but between her and Keith they keep us coming back"

"The steaks ribeyes were some of the best I’ve had in a restaurant in quite a while. Good thickness, good marbling, cooked perfectly to medium rare. Seems easy but so many places get it wrong. The sides were great. We didn’t have anything left for the to go box, so that tells you something. This place is consistent and well run. Thanks for a great meal. We were seated in a reserve banquet room, so that’s my only beef. A little disconnected from the real ambiance of the place. But they were busy so good for them"

"The food was amazing. Our first experience with The Tavern was the location around street or that area and the feel was homey and nice. The staff was incredibly friendly and our waitress was funny and super nice. The Leawood location does not feel like that, it’s not memorable, it just feels like a random American food restaurant you can find on the plaza. The host was nicer than our waitress however she seemed like something was bothering her. Our waitress was rude and was acting impatient as if she had something else to be doing"
