"Hands down, Sweetie's has the most amazing sandwiches! We were in Salida for 2 weeks and ate there 4 times. And the sandwiches are so big that we had enough for another meal. I ordered the The Hipster Sandwich (fresh mozzarella, pesto mayo, tomatoes, and balsamic on a baguette) although the 1st time I was there, I had to sub sourdough bread for the baguette. It was still delish. My hubby ordered The Turkey Havarti Avocado Sandwich (turkey, havarti and avocado on choice of bread). We loved these sandwiches so much that we didn't try another sandwich the other 3 times we were there. Expect a line if you come during the heat of lunch hour. Delicious and unique sandwiches from Sweetie’s. Service is a bit slow at times simply because they get very busy! Ambiance is lively and pleasant. Take a short walk to the river and enjoy your sandwich at a picnic table. They also offer a variety of sweet treats give the blueberry bar a try!
