"I'm celebrating my anniversary here, and we were both excited for a remarkable dining experience, especially since Tabu earned a staggering 29 out of 30 from Zagat. We've only dined at one other restaurant with such a high rating—The French Laundry—so it goes without saying that our expectations were quite lofty. If I had come in without any preconceived notions, I might have rated this place with 5 stars. However, the food ultimately didn't meet our expectations, and the service was just adequate. That said, it was still a very good restaurant, and the soup I had was some of the best I've enjoyed in a long time. I’ll definitely return, but with more tempered expectations."
