"This tea spot in downtown Mountain View is a must-visit. I last visited in 2014 and remember it being spectacular (especially their roasted barley milk tea), but my recent visit earlier this month left me disappointed. The tea flavor seemed weak and the drinks tasted overly sugary. I tried two different drinks on separate occasions, but had the same disappointing experience each time. However, the boba had a good texture and level of sweetness. Keep in mind that this establishment only accepts cash payments."

This is the original boba shop for those who are familiar with it. They offer a variety of flavors, including authentic and uncommon ones, as well as different topping and hot options (perfect for the winter season). The staff is friendly and willing to give recommendations. Just a heads up, they only accept cash so make sure to bring some along!

Credit card purchases can be made now by using a reader on the wall. Paying by cash is still as usual with the cashier. Tiny little space that sells large assortment of bubble teas with toppings. Watermelon drink is delicious and served only when in season. Warm wheat germ tea is good for cold weather. Can barely sit inside, but there is outdoor seating. Ask for less sugar and your wish will come true.

I found the prices at this tea shop to be great! It's finally a reasonably priced option, the first one I've come across in three years. I ordered the Japanese Green Milk Tea and found it to be quite good. The boba were well-made and had a nice squishy texture. I'm currently at my school, so I'm not sure if you want me to stay and help or if you'd prefer to handle things yourselves. Let me know and I can come back later to assist.

"We wanted a hole in a wall place to have lunch while in this area. We looked up this place ahead of time and headed over here after our morning activity. Has their own lot and two men and women restroom located outside in their parking lot. Indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for indoor and the man who checked us in got us a high chair for our little one. Lamented menus and the decor is very outdated and homey. Service is a minimal which we are perfectly fine with. The food took a while to come out even though we arrived shortly after they opened at 11am and it wasn't overly busy. Yaki Onigiri $6.95 (2 pieces. Grilled rice balls, soy sauce butter flavored, no filling Well done. All three of us were able to enjoy this. Came out pippin' hot! Dohatsuten Ramen $16.25 (Spicy garlic minced pork, shredded chili, chashu pork, stewed taro pork, cabbage, carrots, green onions, chives, bean sprouts, nori seaweed, half egg My husband's. He enjoyed it. Taro Pork Ramen $15.95 (simmered tender pork belly, green onions, bean sprouts, spicy bamboo shoots, nori seaweed, half egg* extra noodles. We both got ours with Tonkastu broth. Unfortunately, I felt like the broth was spicy. I don't like spicy and we came with our toddler in which I was sharing my noodles with. I can eat spicy but it doesn't make my dining experience enjoyable. My pork belly was soft and delicious. We won't be coming back unfortunately as I don't want to be surprised by a spicy broth. Price point is good."
