"The service was fantastic but the food was just ok. And for the amount of money that we were charged, it just wasn’t worth it. We order three filets, one 8oz and two 4oz, and the two smaller ones were just not good pieces of meat that they tried to dress up. They were so thin that there was a bottom and top but no middle. I noted in the reservation that it was a Special Occasion but that was never acknowledged or even asked about. Last but not least, the wine list was extremely sparse. Surprising if the ‘wine’ is your foundation. I won’t be going back."

"simon is the best bartender in ann arbor. creative, knowledgeable, and engaged with those at the bar. the food, well somewhat meh. the duck was fatty and a small portion. my fish was slightly overcooked but very good. the risotto was a mush. the restaurant was jammed even though we walked in at 5:30. good for the restaurant. not so good for couples. our food might've been ready but the bartender had to go retrieve it. it took a very long time. we ate at the bar and as i said, simon was terrific and a great teacher."

"Nestled in probably the best food strip mall I"ve ever been to is Saica. This place is amazing! It has exceptional service. With a main dish you receive a delicious bowl of miso soup with tofu. It is well balanced and refreshing, even on a hot day. The chuka salad is also light and fresh. The star here is their curry. I had the katsu curry don which was incredible. It was perfectly cooked and the portion is generous. Once again everything was balanced. Truly a great experience, thank you."

"Been meaning to try this place for a while and finally did for my partner's birthday. Our table was ready when we arrived even though we were a little early. Service was excellent, the host expressed that it was a birthday dinner which we put on the open table reservation and our server was in the know. She actually asked us up front if we were ok with the free chocolate cake that is usually offered and said we could choose another item if we wanted. Drinks were amazing, had the French 75, strawberry rhubarb julep, and the Singapore Sling. Food was perfect, we had the monsoon plate as an appetizer. A great plate to split and taste each of the appetizers so next time we can dive into the one we liked. Which is going to be hard because they were all very good. We had as entrees the big tuna and the ribeye each one was made to perfection perfect balance of meat, veggies, and rice. The sauces were on the side and a great complement to the food. Ok back to the chocolate cake it was warm and gooey and paired with kahlua coconut ice cream can I just say it was to superb! Everything was great, ambiance was pleasant, food excellent, and our server and runners were attentive and knowledgeable. Will be back again for sure!"
