"We dine at this restaurant a couple of times a year, but this time we went for lunch instead of dinner. We were not disappointed! I ordered the prix fixe lunch menu and was impressed with the dinner rolls cooked in duck fat and perfectly cooked fish. The strawberry mousse was good, but I should have stuck with my usual favorite dessert, the amazing creme brulee. The staff was attentive but not overly intrusive. The prices are slightly high, but the quality of the food is outstanding. After our meal, we explored the gift shop and unique bar, purchasing some preserves. We will definitely be returning in the future."

We had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant. The servers were friendly and attentive, and they had a great selection of wines. We enjoyed watching the Dover sole being filleted tableside, which added to the dining experience. The onion soup and crab ravioli appetizers were delicious. The rack of venison was incredibly tender. However, the creme brulee was a bit too soupy for our liking. Our favorite dish was the panna cotta with passion fruit gelee - it's a must-try!

"There are only some remnants you can drive and just say they have good food. Northside 29 is one of them. After I passed this place every day for the last 3 months (at 3 p.m.), I decided that this weekend would be time to stop and try it. I'm sure I did. My son and I had an excellent meal. The food was perfect. I didn't get the name of the waitress (young blonde), but she seemed the only one there and the place was busy. She was very attentive to everyone. Very little waiting time for service and she was very professional and friendly. Give her a lift! We'll be back. Northside 29 will be our new breakfast place on weekends."

"I normally go here for their crab. This time I went just to have some of their hush puppies. Ended up having a proper meal. Service was fast and friendly. I went at an odd time 3pm on a Sunday) and was seated right away. I had the house clam chowder, boom boom shrimp I think that's what it's called), fried oyster po boy with hush puppies, and their take on old fashioned. The shrimp and the poboy had the boom boom sauce. The shrimp is a bit like the shrimp appetizer at Longhorn Steakhouse minus the spicy peppers. I liked it. The clam chowder was pretty decent it's a hard thing to get right. It wasn't all creamy and tasteless like in many places. The potatoes were just the right size and consistency and with just the right amount of clams. The old fashioned was .... hmm ... don't bother with it. Not fair to judge a crab place for it's old fashioned. My bad for chosing that with all the other choices at hand. Should have got one of their cocktails instead. The oyster po boy with the boom boom sauce was just too much boom boom for one meal. The sauce overpowers the oysters. Next time I'll get the oysters by themselves. The hush puppies hit the right spot, and the coleslaw was pretty good too orders them as a side with the PO boy). All of this set me back about $40. Which is very reasonable. The atmosphere is perfect no nonsense with lots of tables. You come here to eat crab and get messy and it is perfect for that. BTW hands down the BEST steamed blue crabs in a 50 mile radius. I'd give them 10 stars for their crab if I could."

"A female employee comes over to the first register and tells the male checker who was checking me out to ring my peach as local into the register, however, they were not local; I went and got the sign at the peach bin, as peaches were close by and this same employee told the checker again to ring the cost in as local even though the Wegmans sign, stating the code for this item was not for local peaches. I don't believe this may be important to sum but having a experience like this is not what I find a good one and further usually check myself out in self check out but an issue existed with a customer and moved to a register with a checker. I did read other reviews that there are others who find rude employees in the process to checking out at Wegmans, Gainesville, VA. I do not want to be apart of doing wrong deeds at Wegmans and causing inventory discrepancies. I did in fact give the correct information of the peaches purchased and that information and facts were dismissed as they did not want to process my transaction with accuracy. My experience is that management is not up to par. I have been shopping at this store since the day they opened. Nothing worst than people who are dishonest! Wegmans."

"Despite sounding strange, this restaurant had the best-smelling and cleanest bathroom I've ever encountered in a dining establishment! The atmosphere is warm, especially if you're seated next to the fireplace, and very welcoming. The service was attentive, and the food was delightful. The menu offers a variety of options for all appetites, although it may be a bit pricey. However, the beautiful decorations and the pumpkin spice Glade Sprays in the bathroom are worth the extra cost."

"Place honestly just isn't good, all the food wasn't hot, it was luke warm, the pizzas tasted like they were sitting out for like 20 minutes, there was no cheese pull, the taste wasn't bad but pizza should be hot and fresh when eaten like everything, I don't pay for a pizza that has been sitting out that's not hot. The chicken tenders were pretty good, hot and fresh, honestly, some of the best I've ever had. The Calzone was the worst Calzone I've ever had, we got the basic calzone, cheese and rigolta, aka (ricotta) it was like 90 percent cheese, the cheese was so tough and dry, it was almost like eating gum, when the calzone first came out it wasn't hot either. Food is meant to be hot and fresh when eaten. People don't pay for food to be old and not hot. Everything was pretty bad. The service was pretty good. I guess nothing exceptional, no complaints, though. The atmosphere is terrible. They had weird old guy walking all around the restaurant, like he was having a panic attack, he was doing weird movements , tlaking weird, acting very intense, he was just really weird and making my family uncomfortable. They had a Pac-Man machine, but it didn't even work. The place is clean though, mainly the old guy just made it feel weird, I think he may have been on some type of drugs or was drinking I don't know, but he was weird. Prices also just aren't worth the terrible food and risking your life around some crazy weird old man that might just snap. NEVER COMING BACK.
