"Just like most travelers driving east or west on I-70, we often dream of eating something incredibly delicious and definitely not another fast food option when passing through Hays. Thankfully, just a mile south of the rest stop, we found Trio Taphouse. We arrived in the middle of the afternoon, just in time to catch the lunch specials before they ended at 3. After asking about the top three lunch specials, I chose the turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich with waffle fries, while my wife opted for the fiery grilled chicken with sweet potato fries. Both dishes were excellent, but I have to admit, my sandwich was the clear winner. It tasted like a work of art and I felt like a sandwich connoisseur with every bite. I decided to go with the dijon mustard instead of mayo and was delighted with my choice. The portion sizes were just right, filling us up without feeling too heavy. To top off our meal, we indulged in their incredible French vanilla cheesecake with candied pecans, paired with fresh coffee. Overall, a definite win. Don't pass up the opportunity to stop at Trio Taphouse, it's well worth it!"

"A pleasant surprise when we drove over the state. We didn't expect much, partly because the exterior needs a little facelift. But the food was fresh, well cooked and quite delicious. We have sushi, a tempura dish and some appetizers. The green tea was just a tea bag (as I am part of Japanese I am very picky about my green tea), but that was a fairly minimal thing with everything else great. The service was great and fast. The prices were fair. Very recommended!"

"The food here was fantastic. If you are looking for some food that will go your taste buds wild this place is a fantastic stop. We just went through town and decided to stop. My daughter has a burger where the bungalow was made from a fried patty when Mac n cheese with bacon and a very tasteful burger with her special tiger sauce. The frits are freshly cut and delicious. Large selection of diving sauce made them even better. I enjoyed a slider and some wings that also exploded with taste and the frits only compliments this combo makes me steal some of my daughters pommes because I all mean. You have beer and I think wine, but not mixed drinks. A beautiful terrace with a cool old gas station location. Fun place to take the kids. Love this locally owned jewel!"
