"like these are the equivalent of “small city American diners” for hawaii. they come for good eating, local people, old school feeling / history, and to experience the real character of the city. so much to learn about a place from their local restaurants / kitchen. people today have so many expectations. so much that it is out of the experience. come with empty and open heart. the food was great and the business was wonderful. "

4.5. We had to try the ox tail soup. That was very good. Also did an order of Hawaiian French toast and an order of the fried corn beef hash. Both were above average. Prices were great.

Oxtail soup is a must try. So ono. Oxtail is well cooked and tender. I think it has bamboo shoots as well. If you or your kid is allergic to peanuts make sure to tell them not to add peanuts. Line can be super long but worth the wait.

Great! I wish I could give this place 10 stars. The food from her café was amazing every time we eat there. Super friendly staff. We stayed for a few nights and the motel rooms were excellent. Cosy and comfortable. Free Wi-Fi in every room. Probably the cheapest place to stay on the island. Will be back.
