"This is our second visit in a row when we made a clear, specific request on our OpenTable reservation which wasn’t reviewed by the host before our arrival. Each time, we asked to sit on the patio, as far from anyone else as possible. We explained it was for health reasons my husband has cancer and immunotherapy makes him high risk for Covid. (We eat at “off hours” because of this either very early or very late. We were seated on the patio at 5:00pm, THE ONLY DINERS ON BOTH VISITS. And each time, the very next groups to arrive were seated (by the same host! at the table RIGHT NEXT TO US!! Also, on each visit, we weren’t advised of the specials, yet the parties around us were. Our waitress was nice and gave us a petite cannoli in recognition of our anniversary. But she was very hard to hear and difficult to understand. Maybe the attitude here is that because we dress casually and don’t drink alcohol, we don’t deserve the best treatment/service? The food is good but we feel looked down upon by the staff and I don’t think we’ll return."

"I love this place! As a vegetarian, it can be difficult to find exciting things to eat at sushi restaurants but that could not be farther from the truth here. They have a large variety of vegetarian sushi rolls and vegetarian appetizers, all of which have been absolutely delicious. I have ordered take out from here a few times and I am never disappointed. I crave their tofu and sweet potato rolls all the time! My fiancee, who is a meat and fish eater, also loves this restaurant."

"I've lived in the Commerce/Walled Lake area for 5 years now. I must say that there are only two sushi restaurants in a 10 mile radius that I would eat at with the next best stop being in West Bloomfield. For some reason sushi and other Asian cuisines around Commerce, Walled Lake and Novi are just not good. I discovered Sushi Den early in my time living here and they are one of the good ones. I was happy to find a great sushi restaurant in my area without having to drive to other joints further away in metro Detroit. They are really good and really fresh. Their menu is very basic, but that is not such a bad thing because their top notch quality makes up for it."

"My friend ordered a pizza from here and they forgot to deliver the pizza. They let it sit in the warmer for over 45 minutes and thought it was still ok to deliver this pizza. Not only did they make the pizza wrong, but it was so dried out that we almost had to add water to rehydrate this pizza. To top all of it off I got food poisoning from this pizza. Never again will I order from Papa Romano's and definitely not from this one!"

"There was a mistake with my last execution order, and it could have been a really bad experience. But thankfully the manager was empathic and offered me another chance to get it right. They honored their word and my meal was delicious. The staff was helpful and the management staff knew who I was and apologized again. They mentioned that the cooking personnel were trained and that this did not happen again. I appreciate the fact that they used this as a teaching experience."
