"Good dining and good staff. Clever how they say they don 't reserve window tables, but say come early and you might get one. Once there and there were window tables available, we were told, "Oh, we reserve them for parties of 5 or more, just not less than 5. Except for the table across from us at the window seating 2 people! Been eating there periodically for 6 years. Never heard this before and often sat at window tablers with 2 or 4 people. Never an issue, till now. New management? New rules? Oh, yes, ...got there in time for happy hour. Then told that is only for patrons in the bar area. Probably in small print somewhere. My bad."

Server was great. Large party sat next to us and was very loud. Enjoyable up to then.

My friend and I loved having lunch at the Wind Sea. My late husband and I had our 50th wedding celebration at the Wind Sea in 2017 and it was perfect!

The location on Dana Point Harbor provided a stunning sunset as we wrapped up happy hour! The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Kudos to the manager on duty and the entire staff. Well done

"Updating my original review from 2 stars, which may have been a bit critical due to my immediate disappointment and frustration with the experience. Food is ok. Vegetables and bagels were fresh but too expensive for what you get in my opinion. I ordered the lox bagel and got a tiny portion of lox that didn’t even cover half the bagel my kid also got the lox and had the same size portion, point being I didn’t get a one off under portioned bagel. I seriously couldn’t even tell that I was eating lox if it weren’t for the familiar taste of capers. At $17.80 before tax, this was frustrating (Einstein lox bagel is $11.89). Inflation is real and I don’t expect the same price, but if I’m paying significantly more, I expect quality and quantity to be more, and it wasn’t. My other kid got the egg bagel which tasted like a Costco egg bite out of the microwave, I wasn’t a fan but my 4 year old thought it was ok and to be fair, at $10, it was a good sized portion. Another frustration, I ordered a “drink” and when I realized there was no ice tea at the soda machine I asked and they said I’d have to pay extra I expect I would have had the same response if I had complained about the portion of lox. Also there are no refills (on ice tea) which feels like nickel and diming customers. You order at the counter and wait to pickup your food made me wonder why they suggested a 15 20% tip when paying, maybe it’s standard for the POS system, but I would expect they do something to make my meal and experience more enjoyable. This place did nothing but take my order and make my food didn’t even get a smile. I have no problem tipping 20% when there’s good service by the way, just need to earn it. Overall, not an experience that would draw me back to this place."
