"One Saturday, we were exploring the city, visiting Ocean Beach, the botanical gardens, and several wine bars. Eventually, we found ourselves in the charming neighborhood of West Portal, which was easily accessible by Muni. While looking for a place to have dinner, I came across Xiao Loong, which was reputed to have fantastic food but did not take reservations. Despite my usual reluctance to dine at such places, we decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, they had a table available for us almost immediately. Many tables cleared out soon after, so it wasn't as crowded as it seemed. However, it was evident that they were popular, as we noticed several takeaway orders being picked up."

My grandfather used to make steamed fish for me. Simple, fresh flavors with scallions and a touch of oil and ginger. I love the spicy steamed fish here. Try the green beans and lamb too!

We frequently visit this restaurant because we enjoy eating healthy food. We are able to find dishes such as mushu shrimp, salmon, snow pea greens, and a vegetable soup called 'Xiao Loong in the Garden'. We always ask for less salt and oil in our dishes, and the kitchen is happy to accommodate our request by remaking them accordingly.

Visited Xiao Loong for carry out dinner. I went for the steamed tofu with broccoli and some fried rice both vegan style. The first dish was a bit flat in spices which I compensated with Sriracha but the fried rice was spot on delicious. I am impressed and this is my first time trying real Chinese food. Service was slow due to some issue and it took them 30 minutes to get it prepared. I went with my cousins who are regulars here. They mentioned that this is the first time they experienced slower service. Still a great place!! Rating Food 5/5Ambience 4/5Service 3/5 Value for money 4/5
