"Yama Sushi Izakaya was recommended to me for my mother 's birthday, sushi was requested by her. Three of us went. We started with edamame and pickle plate. Good selection to the pickles (jalapeno is a modern touch which we declined), very nicely presented. The miso soup was excellent. One of us had bento box tempura, California roll, and teriyaki chicken. Very good, although chicken on the dry side. One had tonkatsu, very good, crisp, large portion (he couldn 't finish).
