It is good to highlight the employees who have always tried. It's all the more sad to give this restaurant a shortage. We were really appalled by hygiene. The black marble slabs on the buffet were dirty and smeared. The plates on which the filling spoons lay were also before dirt. Such deficits should not be. "This is much more a Coffee and Cake place than a place to eat a meal. While there breakfast menu looked varied, and their drink menu had lots of alcoholic and non-alcoholic, plus hot drinks and cold ones, the lunch menu is very limited. If you don't like meat, this isn't really the place, tho they do have some sandwiches, one of which was delicious, the Hawaii one. They have a Tages Menu each day, that changes but offers a main dish, coffee and kuchen. The 7 of us went there for lunch, and 6 ordered the Tages menu of Frikadelle, small hamburger patties with sauteed veggies and pan fried potatoes. The coffee that come with is the diner's choice, but the cake that is delivered is a slice of whatever they give you. So each person got a different flavored cake, but no one got to pick. Chocolate, apricot, Johhanis berry, raspberry, cheese cake and pineapple. The cake is based on a type of whip cream with fruit in it on a basic cake base. The cakes taste like birthday cake, a sort of bland taste, thot the fruit was good, according to the diners. My meal was good with toast bread, with ham slices, jam, pineapple slices and cheese melted on top. Overall, more a sweet shop then a restaurant. Comfortable firm seat cushions."

"I studied in Bamberg 10 years ago and go back. Riffelmacher had the best ice cream in the city a decade ago and now has the best ice cream. (Not gelato, although I will say that it is excellent gelato in the city, in a place above all. Even the Italian exchange students thought the Gelato was excellent. I think I've only eaten once or twice over the years, but there's nothing but going a coral makerugation. What always draws me back to Riffelmacher is their creativity. "We are always skeptical of mixed cuisins in Germany. But boy, that was a lovely treat. We ordered 3 traditional appetizers from 3 different categories and everyone was quite dead. The spring roll was freshly joined together, the fried Wanton was house made and had a good mouth feeling, and the dim some was wonderfully flavored. We had pasta dishes for the head and they were presented as advertised. Just above the lukewarm, with hot main court upstairs. They serve dishes easily under spices, but when asked for some improvements, they had a set of spices ready for us on request. The service is friendly and contemporary. Eat 5 stars. Expectations met."
