"I enjoyed my dinner at Ruth’s and the New York strip was amazing and cooked to perfection. We also had the creamed spinach and lobster Mac and cheese, and the calamari as an appetizer which also were just as good. Britney, our waitress, was very attentive and kind. I will definitely be returning on a regular basis to this location."

"My wife and I had Valentines dinner, the service was good, the ambiance is good. The appetizer and soup was good along with the dessert however our entrees we did not enjoy. My wife had a visiting fish....lemon fish, she said had no flavor at all and i had a veal dish that was not like any veal dish I had ever had before. The meat was tough and had a strange taste."

"Originated in 1995 and expanded in 2015, this is a gem in Baton Rouge. Ambiance, noise level and most important the food. Chargrilled oysters why were they so slightly different that made them so encouraging on the palate? Pepper Jack Cheese. Aha! The best I have personally ever tasted. We split the Caesar Salad. Wonderful. Pecans instead of croutons. Sea Bass was also split. Very good light, inventive flavors. Delicious. Frankly this is a place that supersedes what one expects (or experiences) in Baton Rouge dining."

"I had the kanpeki ramen and the geisha roll. The geisha roll was very good, the sushi has a subtle sweetness. The tiny cirtrus slices were so bitter, I pushed them all off. It was a good roll. I don’t know what style of Ramen that was most like, but the ramen was mostly good. The chasu and egg tasted excellent. The noodles were chewy. It was nice to have shiitake mushrooms mixed in. I had a big bite of the top layer of bean sprouts and it was suddenly terribly salty? The broth starts out strong, but once the oil layer is gone it starts to taste uninteresting. I saw that you get free dessert on your bday. I will try to remember that and get the gyoza and Matcha cake."

"I have loved this place since college many years ago. I was back in Baton Rouge recently, and I am happy to say it is just as good as I remembered it being!"

"My wife took me here for my birthday. It was a very good meal with excellent cocktails and wonderful dishes. My wife had the chicken agrigrante and I had the veal sorrentina. Our servers were very attentive and the excellent at their jobs. The old fashioneds are definitely the cocktail to try! Update: 9/2024 Had the Veal chop special. It was excellent!"

"Have tried the new Juban's twice now since the re opening and re design. We had brunch there not long after the opening and dinner last night. The re design is truly a welcome re fresh with a brightening of the once very dark central dining and bar area and a very neat re design of the front room with addition of a bar and cool lighting fixtures made from brass horns. Love the new ambience compared to the tired old decor. The menu is also refreshed but with a nod to old favorites like the redfish adrian and hallelujah crab. For dinner we had the crab toast which, while a little awkward to eat, was delicious. Cocktails were served quickly and were well crafted. Uniformed waitstaff were very attentive. Entrees included lobster risotto and filet (medium rare). Both dishes were very good. We preferred the risotto. The steak was perfectly cooked. It came with tricolor lyonnaise potatoes of which i received an extremely skimpy almost non existent portion. Our biggest distraction both times we dined was very loud thumping house music which clashed strongly with the fine dining atmosphere. The music would have been at home in a dance club and was just such an off note. I feel like the management is trying to establish a more energetic vibe but for us it just didn't work. In the end we cut our dinner short and skipped dessert as we tired of the unrelenting loud music. Another off note was the reception at the front of the house. We had a reservation for two at a very slow time. Despite this the three young ladies at the reception desk deliberated for several minutes before seating us. The reception was nonchalant to say the least a little off putting. In the end truly a mixed bag. They have a good menu with new offerings and a nod to the past, a solid bar and cocktails, and a beautiful and inviting redesign. Downsides include a young and inexperienced front of house and very loud and off putting music that detracts from a fine dining atmosphere. If the music is not an issue for you I would still definitely recommend. We will likely not be back as the ambience simply isn't for us. Three stars seems harsh would give 3.5 if that was a possibility."

"From the moment you step inside Zorba’s, you’re welcomed with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance that sets the tone for an unforgettable meal. The star of Zorba’s is undoubtedly the chef, both an LSU Culinary Institute of America graduate. Her Cypriot roots, expertise, and passion for Greek cuisine are evident in every dish. The menu features traditional Greek dishes, each prepared with a modern twist and the freshest ingredients. One of the standout experiences at Zorba’s is their monthly wine dinners. Each course is perfectly paired with exquisite wines, enhancing the flavors and providing a unique and memorable Sunday evening. Whether you’re a lover of Greek food or new to the cuisine, Zorba’s Greek Bistro promises a delightful culinary journey. The exceptional service, the chef’s remarkable skill, and the wine dinners make this restaurant a must-visit."

"Went there today, drive thru was slow, spent $32 for 14 wings and they forgot the fries. Wings are tasty but small. This place is overpriced and drive thru is consistently slow. Putting it on my pass list for awhile."

"I love Albasha’s and every time I am in town visiting, I have to hit them up. Their food is always consistently good no matter which location you go too. I miss their chicken shawarma so much!! They have very good (large) portion sizes and are amazing when it comes to accommodating your needs. I usually get a chicken shawarma plate sub hummus for baba ganoush and sub extra salad for the rice with dressing on the side. They always get it right and it’s always super yummy. Things I love and order-steak kabobs, fried cheese, kibbi, baba gaboush, Lebanese tea, chicken shawarma and my husband also likes the gyro. I feel like you really couldn’t go wrong with anything off the menu. Ohhhh I also love the grape leaves "

"I hate being this person but me my boyfriend ate here tonight and was hoping to have a nice date bc we live far and came to Baton Rouge for date night, the place is very cute and cheesecake looked very good but service and food was okay. Our waters barely had ice and water in them and that goes for other tables I even witnessed a table ask someone else at that table for some of their water. When asking the waitress questions about the menu she barely knew and didn’t bother to go ask someone else if they knew. It took about 45 minutes to get 2 appetizers and then about an 1 1/2minutes to get entrees, now waitress did reassure us that the food was coming but also stated that it had to wait to come out and was waiting under a heat lamp because another table was ahead of us and the food wasn’t done quite yet. I honestly understand being busy and being new to a restaurant bc me and my boyfriend are a server/bartender too but tonight was just not it and I don’t think me and my boyfriend will ever be back…"

"Pretty decent place but have noticed as the prices have soared (like everywhere else) the ingredients have become lesser quality. They used to make home style fries for example and the oyster poboys used to come piled high with fried oysters. Perhaps I just caught a few bad nites. Will try again of course but the cheeseburger was my go to sandwich. What happened"

"Came in to eat before a show. We sat for 10 minutes with no drinks while multiple new customers came in and were tended to. We asked several times if we could please place an order because we had a show in an hour but kept getting told they were busy. Finally got waters after 10 minutes. The man who gave us the water asked if we knew what we wanted to eat. We said yes. His response was “ok she will come get it soon.” She didn’t. She took another table’s order so I got up to ask her. She said they were there before us. They weren’t. Sat down for a few more minutes and decided to leave. 10/10 do not recommend."

"I ordered a cup of seafood gumbo and was brought a cold bowl of chicken gumbo. The waitress waited until I bit into it and asked if it was hot. It wasn't. Limited menu. They were only serving brunch.... At 1:30pm. Brunch is between breakfast and lunch. Not after. I ordered the shrimp grits. Big bowl of nasty grits. 4 small shrimp. They don't tell you a refill on drinks is $3. $3 damn dollars for a fountain refill???? Make it make sense. Worst $40 I've ever spent. EVER! I want my money back. I'm telling everyone I know not to go here. I've been told the same thing. Horrible!"

"Very disappointed. I eat a lot of tex-mex and authenticas, but El Paso on Sherwood Forrest in Baton Rouge has by far been the worst. We ordered jalapeño poppers for an appetizer, which was the only part of the meal that was edible. The salsa tasted like wet spaghetti sauce, but the black bean salsa was decent. However, both meals were barely edible. My wife got one beef taco and the meat had a funny after taste. Not like it was spoiled, but almost like meat flavored foam, and the shell tasted like movie theater popcorn. I ordered what I thought was a steak burrito (according to the menu) but the steak looked and tasted like frozen, shredded rump roast. A steak burrito at a Mexican restaurant should be skirt, hanger, or asada steak. Not to mention, it was room temperature. We were there 2 hours before closing so there is no reason for it to have been cold. Waitress passed us about 6 times without asking foe refills or taking our card for the check. The waiter for the table next to us spent more.time flirting with the guests than actually serving them. Won 't go there again and would never recommend."

"We (3 of us) went to the Jones Creek location 430pm on 7/6. The employees were in a meeting, and the manager (Madeline Plaisance) came out and spoke to us, took our order, and paid detailed attention to the dietary concerns of my boyfriend. His food was wonderful, and cooked to his needs. And, our food was absolutely delicious. The veggies for all of us were cooked to perfection; not too hard, but not soggy. And we found out that they were now open for lunch everyday. I am sure we will be there again because lunch is what we like to do. Sam, our waiter was very pleasant as well, and very attentive to our needs. I would recommend this location to all looking for a good meal."

"I always get the LSU Roll! I haven’t tried many sushi places in Baton Rouge because they’re the best I’ve had. I normally have to order ahead for lunch (at least 30min) and it’s sooo good every time. No dine-in options available, but it’s so good it normally doesn’t make it out of the parking lot."
