"Delicious food. Very fast service. I'm going to the collector's shop and I've seen the restaurant every time. This time, my visit and hunger had dropped to encourage me to eat here. Quality food, delicious and fast and friendly service. I was very impressed with the speed. Although I am a party, other environmental tables also seemed to get their food quickly. Fransica was my server, but also helped others and all were friendly and helpful. I ordered the chorizoqueso dip and a tamale as an app. The bathroom was great and I received a good amount of chorizo and it was very delicious. The Tamale, I am not sure what part of Mexico they come from (before you say everything I am Mexican; born in Los Angeles and my family is from Jalisco), but they put up a sauce. Looks like the sauce they put on the Enchiladas. The Tamale itself seemed good, the chicken inside did not seem dried out and looked very fresh, I just grew up and eat Tamales a different way I think not a fan. My duck was the daily special: chicken and chorizo quesadilla. Very delicious. A lot of chicken and chorizo, they have my special order right and even had my favorite hot sauce. To finish things, I have flan and horchata. The flan was okay. The Horchata on the other side... like Mom used to do. They also gave it to me in a huge Togo cup. Very nice. Although they seem fair to have the standard Mexican restaurant; from my experience compared to these chain/corpore restaurants and even some mother and pop restaurants, El sombrero differs from those in speed, food quality and taste. If you live in Greencastle, you know. If your travels and/or in the area, it is definitely worth a stop or even a small way around."

"We've been going to Putnam Inn for a few years, but what a find! We love this place! We never had a bad experience in this food! We took some family members for lunch on Saturday 7/2/16. The buffet changed from breakfast to lunch when we arrived. The lady who sat on us said it was about 10 minutes or so to be completely finished, so that we put our waitress, our beverage orders came. We have drinks in time. The buffet was ready for lunch within the time the lady said it was. I must say all raves about the fried chicken BUT let me say I tried the pox for the first time they were the bomb! I hardly needed a knife to cut it!! I have NIE pork chops in a restaurant, let alone on a buffet that soooo delicate had so good taste! WOW! I have read some mixed reviews about this place, but I can honestly say we never had a bad experience with the food, the staff or the decor of the dining room! The tables are clean, the buffet always seems clean, even the cutlery! Genuine cloth napkins for a buffet?! What a treat! I like the decor. Yeah, it's simple, but I'm here to eat the delicious food, not to decorate ideas. The fancier the facility the more you pay. The price for the buffet is very reasonable given the type of dishes served! Maybe we're not picky people, but I always leave this place with a good feeling! I say if you're starving here, it's your own fault! I wouldn't change anything here!"
