"The Heid ́s is not in the centre of Heidelberg, but is easily accessible on foot or by car (parking). A reservation is recommended only if you want to sit outside. We went spontaneously there and were lucky to have another table free. After a little longer waiting time, we were assigned to it. In addition to the entrance area there is also the counter behind which the cooks prepare the food. That's it. Overall, the restaurant is harmoniously decorated, not completely filled with decoration, clean and in the back area also quieter than in the front. The table was covered with beautiful plaid fabric napkins in which the cutlery was bundled and was held together with a banderole. There was also a lonely candle, but it was not lit (at least at our table). The menu offers many varieties of steaks, salads, fish dishes (from €20.80), wood stove pizza (from €8.80), some appetizers (from €12, children's dishes, pasta and desserts (from €5.20). Vegetarians are not necessarily at their expense. The lady from the service was very nice, but we had to wait very long until we could even order drinks. Also the second beverage order went too long after we had released our empty glasses at the table edge, the service saw this and asked if everything was fine... We also had to fight to pay attention. There were baked bread from the wood stove, still warm, wonderfully crispy. “Here you can dive some bread with oil and salt.” We would have liked to have done if we had got oil and salt (as it was on the neighboring table). The man chose U.S. high rib (400g, 29.80€ on Mediterranean grilled vegetables with cream carrots, pepper sauce, kajunbutter and steakhouse pots (with these supplements all meat dishes are served, there are also potatoes or Spanish potatoes. The meat was, as desired, medium-solved and of good quality, juicy and delicate to some areas. The pepper sauce I found very tasty, really good peppery, the man was not so enthusiastic. The herbal supplements were good (men and vegetables... But the pommes were very flat and could have been a little browner. But it was nice that they were served separately and so not by what the subtle crispy kept. I chose pink roasted Bavette on salads (14.50€). The meat was perfectly fried and incredibly delicate. The salad consisted mainly of red and green leaf salads, a strawberry, two chicorée leaves, some dress and a cherry tomato. But twice as much Vinaigrette as it would have been necessary for the part. Why I dipped the garlic, I don't know, he didn't fit the meat and there was no bread for salad. Conclusion: More appearance than being? I don't want to say that either. However, the restaurant gives the impression of something “hearty”, which is very important. However, it should also be noted that the service meets the impression. Prices are not without, for good quality They pay, but then the supplements should also choose if the meat is already delivered in the top condition."

"when entering la wallpaperria olé olé it felt like entering a restaurant in Spain. the menu is extensive and offers numerous Spanish classics. the restaurant also offers various activities (e.g. paella Wednesdays, tapas Sundays, longdrinks 5/5). our four-headed group finally chose 8 different tapas as an appetizer and the mixed paella and “Arroz negro” as a main dish. service is friendly, but it seemed that the personal relatiw was inexperienced. Perhaps it is not usual to cool a bottle of red wine before serving on a hot summer day (15-18 degrees are ideal), but we expect clean glasses with our bottle. we didn't have to wait too long for our food. the first to pass our “Tortilla de patatas” – test! also the strong aromas of “Chorizo en salsa de sidra y miel” pleased us. olé olés interpretation of “Pimientos de Padrón” includes a prise cumin for a little taste depth. the mixed cheese and cold cut plate did not correspond to expectations - both cheeses were young and I had the impression that the sausages needed more “air time”. the “Conejo en ajillo” was in the ground fried rabbit pieces, served with a mandock as a supplement - there are no pronounced aromas here. The following tapas were a bit disappointing: the “Pulpo a la gallega” (tin fish after galic art) was too salty, the fried “Boquerones” was sacky (the fried almonds) a portion for 2 people is easy for 4 as a costly sample. after dinner we stayed with coffee and some sweet and heavy desserts – “Muerte por Chocolate” and “Leche Frita”. a nice evening in a nice company in a warm atmosphere, which ended with a nice touch of Spanish hospitality – a free shot “orujo”. we can return to paella on Wednesday, but not for the tapas."
