Maruzzella

Maruzzella

"It should be pizza – of course a delicious salad before. A well-stocked, thinly baked, crispy pizza on the edge, well seasoned it may also be. This is how we – my enthusiasts and my avenue – imagined this and made us on the way to Königswinter, after Stieldorf – more precisely. Here's the Raiffeisenstraße, number 5, the Maruzzella, a Ristorante that we had visited years ago. But panta rhei – let's see how it tastes now! The ambience (4 stars ten minutes drive, and we stand in front of a three-storey, red-clinked, stately building, on whose ground floor the Russo family hosts its guests. Parking is usually not available at the Maruzzella, in front of the house is a wide park strip. The clinker construction is preceded by a spacious conservatory and also a fairly large terrace. Open the door, open the door, and we go, greeted by the padrone, in front of a counter into the guest room. The boss offers us a white covered table next to the entrance to the conservatory. We take place on comfortable high-resters covered with black artificial leather. We sit comfortably, more comfortable than in some Italian restaurants with vertical chair rests. We let the view through the guest room graze, along shelf walls, on whose dark-colored soils wine glasses, vinegar oil and spice massages provide a mirror image in the rear wall mirror. Door hoes, in bright Bordeaux red tinted balusters, which are not much wider than the shelves and in front of the walls, limit the shelves, emphasize doors and windows and carry the beige-colored upper strap running around the room. On this, wine bottles support the Mediterranean flair of the red brown stone floor. LED spots radiate from the bottom of the upper belt on contemporary paintings and give the room an indirect illumination. The guest room is directly illuminated by two huge lights hanging down from a powerful box opening in the beige-colored ceiling. It is a pleasant, Mediterranean ambience: note good and four stars. The service (2 stars A young lady supports the padrone in service. She gives us the menus. We order a bottle of Italian mineral water (the three-quarter litre bottle at 5,50 € and a pils from the Siegerland (0,3l to 2,50 €). The young lady served, we have studied the menu and the added table with daily dishes. The cryptic pizza names like Papa Lucio don't reveal anything about the pizzen's coverings, we ask. Is the young lady still learning? She asks at the Padrone, who then gives us information. We will be served by the service and the boss. Both are friendly. But at the end of the evening we look back on two mistakes in the service that rarely meet a guest at once. The food (3 star daily dishes, typical of a Ristorante, can be found on the table set at the table: ham and melon, salmon carpaccio, penne, fatuccine, sea bass, calf ridges. Typical Italian dishes can also be found in the printed menu: various salads, pizza and pasta, some fish and meat dishes and a few desserts. Prices seem appropriate, they are at the usual level of pizzerias and restaurants in small towns. We choose after the boss Papa Lucio, Pizza Maruzzella and the like explained to us – a Piccola Insalata mista (5,50 € and a pizza diavolo (7, € and – an Insalata 'Maruzzella' con Tonno (8,50 € and a pizza Maruzzella (9,50 €). The boss writes the order in his bell, the young lady brings the greeting from the kitchen. It is fresh bread, very tasty, and a bowl with inlaid, de-stoned, black olives and inlaid dried tomatoes. We gout. The latter have an intense tomato taste. Tastes like 'more', we agree. The salads don't let them wait long. My wife gets a handsome plate full of salad, as handsome and visual as my Maruzzella con Tonno , only that with me there are plenty of tuna pieces on the Salatberg. The salad is fresh and crisp. Various leaf salads, cucumbers and radish slices, ruccola, carrots, peppers and tomato slices are garnished with a tasty balsamico oil dressing. We are very happy with the salads, especially since the Piccola Insalata is not small at all. We do not yet know one of the service errors at this time. The boss takes the pizzas personally. My better half gets a pizza diavolo – now I say in the after again – and wonders about missing peperoni. But they could have hidden under the cheese. After the first bites, she becomes more skeptical: Is that a 'diavolo' at all? It regrets that there is a misunderstanding. He listed Papa Lucio's pizza. No trace of Diavolo sharpness in the Papa Lucio . For compensation, the padrone brings a peel with inlaid peperoni, which, however, cannot compensate for the impressible taste of the tomato, mozarella and olive lining of Papa Lucio. A last rescue attempt, my wife still orders sharp oil to get sharper to the supposed diavolo. But also the oil does not help what I can convince myself with a shot about my Maruzzella. My Pizza Maruzzella is abundantly documented: paprika, mushrooms, salami, prociutto, artichokes, olives. Tastefully it is o. k., but with both pizzas we miss usual features. They're too thick, almost American. Crispy are the pizza floors and the edges also not, rather soft. The good impression of the food that the salads have left is gone. Together with the salads that earned four stars, and the greeting from the kitchen, we rate the food with three stars, i.e. the Italian herbal liqueur, which I order after the sweet-filling pizza, is brought by the young lady flugs. Go to the house bill! , she says quietly, and I suffocate the ample alcoholic herbal elixir, whose amount significantly exceeds the four Hunderstel oak mark – a reparation for the pasted pizza delivery!? Still, we don't think about the secret of the oversized Piccola Insalata mista. Instead of the Piccola Insalata mista is an Insalate Maruzzella to 7. Euro listed, and the Papa Lucio beats with 9. Euro instead of the 7. Euro for the Diavolo to beech. We can see how the two salads differ only by the tuna line. The padrone apologises here too, he wrote the wrong salad. It reacts immediately to its errors and reduces the invoice by 4.50 €. Cleanliness (3.5 star tables, dishes and the best corners are clean, the guest room too. The practiced housewife eye discovers here and there dust on the mirror on the wall. We didn't use the toilets. For cleanliness, we have close four stars. The price/performance ratio (3 stars The boss regretted the service errors, reduced the bill and donated a drink. Nonetheless, for four ordered foods two incorrectly served are clearly too much: error rate 50 percent. The pasted service performance and the quality of the pizza trays allow us to judge the price/performance ratio despite the good salads just with o.k., i.e. three stars. The conclusion (3 stars We were not really satisfied with the evening. Well, I guess it's a good comment. There are three stars from us as a conclusion for the Maruzzella."

"a freight train, sometimes a train by the oberkasseler train station at the right-western Rhine railway line. we hear the sash, sash, sash, ... noise-reduced, because we sit in the ristorante il borgo behind closed large windows with semicircular top lights in the former observatory railway station building, but no twenty meters from the gleis. what was going on here? the appetit on fish and the high-quality Italian cuisine in the net under [hidden link] . the ambiente the ristorante il borgo welcomes its guests in a historic railway station building, which, including the built-in pavement roof, is under the roof of the monument. that the former railway station building was built around four years after the beginning of the German French war in 1870/71, you can look at the building in the construction style, but not in the degree of conservation. in front of a proper, yellow white, two-storey building, the railway station building from the greenderzeit, we park our way. parking is quite abundant. if you are close to the train station, another parking space is available near the foot. a picture-book-friendly beer garden left next to the construction from imperial times lets us hesitate in the selection of the place of our upcoming stay: an evening with moderate warmth under the excavating sun umbrellas on a fountain behind a wooden wall separating the railway line or taking a place in the former waiting room from imperial times? the temperature on this seventeenth maitag makes us the choice easy. we're going in. three plant-filled steps high, railway hall door open, railway hall door close, and we are in the former waiting room. Nothing, except the size of the room and the large windows with their upper lights, still remembers the original function. a long dark brown table top with light brown table top, modern and bar-like, takes a side of the room. a matching dark brown country with light brown handrail separates the room in two seating areas, the rear one higher than the front one. Moreover, there is a smaller, door-separable dining room and a few tables directly at the entrance door. the lower third of the yellowish white walls is wood-paneled, dark brown. red-padded seat benches cover part of wood paneling and allow guests to sit comfortably in dark brown tables with bright brown table tops. red-padded are also the bar stools in front of the counter. the tables are tastefully covered, orange-coloured table sets, yellow serviettes, yellow candles, a red long-sleeved rose in a white vase. glow, in the marketing called deng up and downlights, irradiate the walls, and some spots on the tasty backwards commercial modern paintings on the walls in 's right light, so poorly excluded later on leaving the restaurant we still have the children's playground in the adjoining to the beer garden. even for the little ones is thought. we like the ambiente. it's good here. four of five stars. the service we are welcomed by a young herrn, black dressed and red apron, friendly. he could be more Italian. we take place on one of the tables he offered us, and get presented the menus immediately. as drinks he takes a bottle of mineral water for my wife (5.90 € of the three quarterliter and for me a pinot grigio (4.90 € for 0.2 l. the young man understands his craft. he serves us the evening above courtesy, friendly and attentive. he asks for our satisfaction with the feeds, gives up several times, immediately lights the candle when we take a place. he gives us the feeling that we are welcome. his professional art to serve deserves four stars. eating the menu reflects in the whole what the restaurant advertises: real and high quality Italian cuisine. all that belongs to the program of a ristorante can be found on the map: antipasti, salate, suppen, pasta, pizzen, fish and meat dishes and desserts. the small guests are also thought of with children's plates. a large board on a wall in the dining room serves as a tag card. it presents several fish and meat dishes and desserts. the prices are in the area of what you are used to praising for some upscale Italian cuisine. for us, it's supposed to be fish today. therefore my wife chooses from the card filetto di rombo in crosta di erbe (steinbuttfilet in crimped crust for 22,90 € , and I choose for zanderfilet with sparing, new kartoffels and sauce hollandaise (also 22,90 € . we don't wait long, and our Italian-looking young man serves the gruß aus der koch. it is fresh hot broth and a crumbled, very sweet, especially the crispy bread. after a waiting period suitable for fresh preparation, the young man serves us the main dishes. on rectangular plates, decorated with crema di balsamico and crumbling, the fish fillets laugh at us. the stone buttfilet of my wife is served with rosemary and vegetables (tube slices, striped hollow leaves and flower cabbage. the filet is fried on the skin and covered with an oily crimp mixture. even if my wife has expected a crispy crispy crust, she is satisfied with the offered variant. the ceremonies harmonize very well with the delicate taste of the juicy roasted, solid-meat stone-beater. the vegetables are cooked in a bit dry, only a little must be salted. the rosmarink type-offers would have tolerated a little more rosmarin, but otherwise are well cooked. to my zanderfilet with economical and new kartoffels, the young herr serves a sauciere with sauce hollandaise. the spatula is perfectly prepared, not a bit woody, not too soft and not too hard. the hollandaise seems to me not to be a sauce from a bought eimer. the reduction tastes easily, very slightly acidic, as I like. the fish is also well prepared. he's got his own taste and röstaroma. the kartoffels have unmistakably buttery taste, because swung in butter. However, the shell of the kartoffels leaves doubt as to whether it is really new kartoffels. in new kartoffels I am used to a softer dish. my wife still wants her espresso (1,90 € and I mean bitter Italian (3 € for 2 cl. we rate the food despite the doubt of the new kartoffels and the somewhat strange crust at the stone butter fillet with good. the price / performance ratio ... also deserves four stars. we have eaten well, have been served well, and the prices we consider appropriate. the cleanliness my wife reports of a clean damentoilette, I don't need a walk to the toilet. the dining room is clean, crooked and best corner picobello. therefore also here a good for cleanliness, so four stars. the conclusion in the calculator medium is a smooth one for the conclusion from the individual assessments and this applies not only to computational but also to emotional. we are happy to go home and recommend il borgo for a visit."

Taverna Olympia

Taverna Olympia

Hauptstr. 396, 53639 Konigswinter, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, Königswinter

Tea • Meat • Greek • Chicken

"If hunger strikes you, look so intense so that it can be "moved" in a strange environment. During a day trip to Königswinter, we also implemented this in the afternoon in the pedestrian zone. Due to the limitations of Corona, the choice was more difficult than usual. There was no choice, however, as most of the few places were already occupied and otherwise would be associated with a longer waiting period, we decided several times against it. Many know that the later time continued, the “trialization” became the desire for something “essable” and worsened the mood of a “Carnivore”; which fits better than try with a Greek! It seemed very promising when we got how well it was then! Nevertheless, as it turned out later, the other customers in Taverna Olympia were like us, not “customers”, but spontaneously arriving. I knew that somewhere and the more I was curious about what was expected there, about food and everything about it and about it! Greek cuisine is known for many popular dishes. So it has attracted our attention when we are almost against a performer with the daily offers, “stored”. In this way it has already been possible to determine which very moderate prices are due. Nevertheless, we wanted to look into the regular menu before we actually wanted to order something. But what we have experienced after that is not comparable to the kindness that I have lived in a series of comparable addresses to which we are used. More about it later. The first “steam” was when we asked for a place inside. Since there was a sign that the seat was assigned to one, we held it. It should take a few minutes to see someone. The man casts wild, but we didn't understand him: My partner asked for a way to put us in. This would eventually go, but wait almost 2 h – no thanks! Nevertheless, it didn't look like a couple who had the conversation, that they just want to finish their drinks and once this is done, we can have the table. I really found that very friendly and actually it only took a few minutes until it was so far! One thing I want to take is that if you expect a high-quality kitchen here due to the name Taverna, you will find more mediocre food on the plate. In addition, you should look for something else if you oppose moody table neighbours. I also find it worth noting that at this time it seemed to have been a 1 person operation: ! This has sometimes led to very long waiting times! I don't know how it behaves outside the general restrictions! This is from my point of view salvation at the wrong end! If the operator wishes to accept both operation and preparation at the same time, one of them remains on the "stretch". If, however, one cannot deter these disadvantages, one can obtain an experiment. There are some positive aspects that I do not want to deprive you of. The seats looked more comfortable than being honest when they were actually. You have rattan optics, but if you want me to be honest, it was more plastic. The support was extremely thin so that it could also be omitted from my point of view. It's a pity that, because of what I mentioned, we had to largely dispense with other drinks. Price was 0.2 l Limo with 1.90 € completely within the frame. Since we were both hungry, we decided to do so. Olympia Grill plate with meat for 2 people, as it stood on the map, which cost a total of 38 €. From the part she was for us who are not “sustainable” are hardly to be created! It was informed that some of the other customers were able to pack what was left. It wasn't an option for us. This dish consisted of: small meat spear suflaki especially delicious, lamb fur with bone. Pig medallion and gyros were too dry for me, but the latter was well seasoned. I didn't try the Bifteki Hacksteaks, but they should be completely salted. Since we don't like to have stuffed wine leaves Dolmadakia, we didn't even try them. As a supplement you can choose between rice and card finished roast potatoes. We chose the second version. That was very pale from our point of view and hardly spiced. A Greek peasant salad with sheep cheese is served. Unfortunately, we didn't really find that delicious. If you are freshly made Zaziki and this is also made yourself, then it compensates for the moderate meat quality. The part you get to the main dish is quite tiny approx. 2 tablespoons so we added for only 4 €. In such a growing overall picture, I have made everything to report on it. Can I imagine if more employees are available here, there might be a much better representation. Despite the deficits, some of the points listed were good. So we find that in Taverna Olympia an OK is appropriate. I can't say if I come here for another visit to Königswinter. I don't want to exclude it. I did not take photos because the “carbon steam” was larger; the bill as soon as it was paid had “supplied”. I rounded the sum for understandable reasons."
