"Very impressed with the food at Urban Plates. When I arrived and I saw it was kinda like an order and take your number to a table I was wondering if it would be as good as the pictures. I can assure you it is. Excellent presentation and even better taste. I was very happy. The atmosphere was pleasant; there are several tables and a few benches and outdoor seating decor. It wasn't like most dining places where half the tables are dirty from prior customers; it was very clean and welcoming. I would definitely return. I will likely visit this place again on a future trip to San Diego."

"Amazing! We hunted to Pasta and were thrilled! Their margaritas were so smooth and taste combination was great (I got fruity) We have white lasagna and meatball and pasta. I still remember her taste after 4 days, truffle in white lasagna was just the right amount that all the ingredients are blowing! Her tomato sauce was not overwhelming tomatoes, but so fresh! Butternut Squash soup warmed up from the wind. We would definitely come back at the next visit."

"I have never in my 54 years on this planet walked into a bar and felt more welcomed than I did at counterpoint tonight. We took a seat at the bar and within a minute the owner offered us a shot. We had a great conversation with Zoe, one of the bartenders, throughout our time there. The beer selection was really good as was the food. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. If we called San Diego home, this would be our local, no matter where in the city we lived."

"A great selection of vegan options at this gelato place, which seems to pay close attention to high-quality ingredients. The vegan pistachio gelato is so fabulous that I am glad, for my waist and wallet, that I don't live closer. I can also vouch for the mango and chocolate options. The smallest cup looks very small, but they pack in a huge amount of gelato, including 2 different flavors if you want, so it's actually a very generous dessert. I love the sign that explains why ugly (imperfect) fruit is a great, sustainable choice."

"Yogurt was good and very cute place but the blonde girl that served us last night was incredibly rude and gave an insane amount of attitude. Normally don’t leave reviews but we were absolutely taken aback by how rude she was to us. “Are two actually gonna get anything” and practically slamming our yogurts on the table. All in all, gross experience. Lol"

"As a golfer, this place is on the bucket list. It was WORTH IT! First, show up a little early so you can walk around the gift shop, club house, and grounds. We also were there at 6:30 to capture the perfect sunset. They start your order with homemade potato chips and onion dip. I purchased a ginger beer and then my wife and I ordered the drugstore burger with onion rings and the tomato soup with grilled cheese. Both were very good, the burger was fresh, juicy, and the epitome of a classic cheeseburger. The only thing that could have been a little better would be the temperature of the soup, just a tad on the cool side, but I like soup piping hot. Perfect date night location, and make sure to reserve a table outside."

"It is sad to say that the food quality in this restaurant went from a 12 on a scale from 1 to 10 to 2. Before Covid, I dreamed of food and I longed the food here. I've eaten here at least once a week and we've always brought friends to this restaurant and had parties here. Now the food quality is at best a 2 (on a scale of 1-10) and it is still very high prices for very low food quality. This used to be my favorite Italian restaurant always and in every city. Unfortunately, they cannot compete with other Italian restaurants now and are at the bottom. The recipes that originally came from the grandmother of the owner and Italy were either thrown out or not taken care of because it is so sad to say that the food quality in this restaurant is so bad that I never want to eat here again. We've tried about 5 times since restaurants opened to Covid and were disappointed every time. Very sad to report."

"our daughter was in town and wanted to eat here because it is one of our favorite restaurants. the device was extremely slow and our waiter was very forgotten and seemed overwhelmed. he told us the specials. we chose the risotto with spinach, huh and parmigiana. but when it came, it was pesto and had not tasted much. when we asked, he brought out some scary papers from the kitchen that had described the right risotto court. he forgot the hot lemon water for my daughter, had to ask for for for our main course. Maybe he had a long day, but if they pay good money when they eat now (especially now that they charge for broth and dipping oil as well as a 4% supplement?! it would be nice to get good service. I wanted to leave a lousy tipp, but I couldn't get it. however when they go to ensure and order the brot and dipping oil- it is amazing."

"My wife and I visited Cafe Milano and the experience was wonderful. The service was exceptional and the owner was very friendly telling us about his specials. The melenzane was delicious. The eggplant was cut thin and the sauce was very tasty. Our entrees were veal dishes and the veal was cut thin, very tender and flavorful. Finally, the homemade Italian cheese cake was out of the world. Make sure you ask what specials Pasquale has made because everything he makes is delicious."

"What an amazing place! I love the VIBE and the STAFF! The bartender was so amazing and the manager was very closely involved with the takin care of all together with the kitchen staff! The food came fast and omg!! THE CRAB CAKES were the best I ever had!! That was definitely amazing and I will be back!! This was definitely a special place to go and the artwork and atmosphere is so original, warm and welcoming. Thanks for this excellent experience."

"Very friendly staff, super nice. Most employees were European; I spoke to the waitress and she mentioned the owners were Italian. The location looks like you're in a small Italian town. We had the free bread. I forget what the spread was, but I think it is a mixture of olive oil, red pepper and anchovies. The bread was fresh and the spread was good. I had the Gnocchi della nonna. It was in a white gogonzola sauce. Very good. Not your typical olive garden. The sauce is light and not thick can you say the cheese is not a fake cheese. Not overwhelming. We celebrated our anniversary and they gave us the Tiramisu for Dessert, which was very nice of them. The Tiramisu was delicious, very humid and a beautiful coffee taste."

"I was in the morning at the La Jolla Rec Center for the Dog Fantastic Event. And I was so hungry and looking for a nice lunch. I found here!
