"Very nice local sandwich shop that has a small menu with a lot of variety. They have some good GF options. The tomato bisque is really filling and the sandwiches/wraps are just the right size to leave sated (and no longer hungry). The staff is extremely friendly and helpful."

"Here in a night that the main rib was special. It came with two sides, and the main rib was a large part. I've never had a better basic nativity in my life. Absolutely melting good. The Italian dressing on the side salad never disappoints. It's done in the house, and I'm always trying to buy a pint of it from the kitchen after eating in Vona?s. This place is thoroughly excellent, and I never had a form of bad experience here. Great service and even better food."

"Bistro 197 has two very different personalities regarding its interior architecture elements. The left side is brighter traditional bistro feeling very open, the right side is warmer, intimately raised bar feeling, with two TV plays a mix of sports ball pro-wrestling. The staff is friendly. Our server has forgotten my wife Serrano Peach Paprika Martini on my wife to take my dinner order of my friend dinner again later with an apology to take her. Expect a fresh, playful, tasty craft cocktail program with fresh shrimp delicious ingredients. There are New Old World wines for many meals occasions, including some local CNY wines. The beer cider list is varied leaner on regional New England craft beer selection on adult in cans bottles. Swill beers are also for Troglodytes who try to eat out “retain it really”. The menus are spiritual for the ass-like eye with puns themes here. The oysters are freshly shaken on the half-shell, accompanied by a bright beautiful mignonette. The beef short rib gnocchis was comforting post food coma induction. I like my short rib with more fat between the muscle fibers, this was a bit over boiled leaning to dry but quite delicious, especially the balsamic BBQ sauce served. The crispy spring rolls with an additional amount of duck, plentiful cream cheese, fruity hoisin sauce comfort delicious, large enough to divide between two people. The cadence of the service is cozy occasionally absent for longer periods and offers way for a much more appealing conversation time. As long as you know that these measures take to talk more drinks to order, you will enjoy yourself thoroughly. Live music was free, but it is worth paying. We tapped the band over the comfortable QR code on the table. I will definitely return to explore more about the menu, including handful shells dishes more oysters. This is probably the best restaurant for intimate restaurants in Oswego."

"Atmosphere was good. Service was OK. We ordered the smoked brisket poutine and calamari for appetizers. The smoked brisket tasted like they poured a bottle of liquid smoke on it before they served it. The gravy on the poutine was pretty good. Thecalamari was probably the worst dish we had. It's definitely frozen and was super rubbery and pathetic looking. Definitely notworth the $14. My wife ordered the Prime Rib Philly. It was a was but not great. Didn't really care for the thai chili sauceit comes with as it tasted very acidic. Not worth the $17 price tag. I ordered the Steak Frites. I asked for the steak to becooked medium rare and it was cooked as I asked. It lacked a little seasoning but it overall good. The garlic truffle friesthat came with it was good as well."

"Took my daughter here for some father daughter time. Wanted to try something new in the area. Walked in placed was packed with 2 open tables. No greeting from staff so just grabbed a table. Server was nice, but my order for chicken parm and kids cheesepizza took over an hour to make it to the table. Which seemed more than enough time since I watched every table in the placedget served. Even tho their orders we're placed well after ours was. If the parm is anything like the broccoli and chedder soupit's trash and came out of a soup can. NOT A GREAT FIRST IMPRESSION ????"

"When you hire New employees you must ALWAYS have someone with experience by their side especially when taking orders. The young lady was very friendly and polite but I asked for a Banana Split with vanilla and chocolate custard, no nuts no strawberries no chocolate drizzle. I had to throw away the banana split since I do have an allergic reaction to nuts. As expensive as it is I had to throw it away. I only got vanilla custard."

"We stopped in for a quick dinner before heading to the theatre. The restaurant was not busy. Our server was very friendly. We ordered the Chicken EL Pastore bowls and Pecan Crusted Chicken Salad. We enjoyed the El Pastore bowls. The portion size did not seem to match what was pictured in the menu. While the flavor was good, I felt more of the ingredients should have been in the serving. The pecan crusted chicken salad was bland. The restaurant was clean and not too loud. Our server was efficient. However, once we declined dessert, we had to ask for our check."

The best thing about this place is the way the servers make you feel like you are dining at an extended family home. "Its always busy and a happening place. At is definitely my go to for a quick chicken sandwich. It never disappoints. The stuff are friendly and willing to accommodate any special requests. If your want extra sauce you will get plenty. The chicken as crispy and crunchy but perfectly moist inside. As far as fast food chicken places go, this one is near the top."

"My wife and daughter and I where in Oswego for my daughters school event at the courthouse and we had a couple hours beteween sessions so we looked for s place to eat dinner. We came to Alex's unaware of the food , staff or service and were pleasantly surprised at all three. The food was excellent! A very nice place to eat. We will definetly be back thank you!"
