"If you don't know Punta Gorda, this place can be hard to find because it is located on an itty-bitty side street just a few minutes walk from the courthouse. I had a reub and onion rings. They used the right cut of beef (a must for a good recubation in my opinion), but I think they flushed the sauerkraut in water and neglected to squeeze out the entire liquid from it. This made for a somewhat tasteless soggy sandwich. The onion rings were super delicious, but they were very, very fat. I've eaten most of them, even though I gave my hungry Pooch a quarter of them. People there were as friendly as they could be. Some tables sit outside the restaurant for the kitchen with frescoes. Unfortunately, there is not much of a look as it sits in the middle of a small stripe mall in the middle of Punta Gorda. As I have already indicated, this restaurant is really set up for business people looking for a quick lunch."

"We just moved to the area and gave it 2 tries, pretty disappointed in the quality and quantity. Over $20 for lunch both times. Pizza was way over cooked, grinder had hardly anything on it, pretty much a bread and mayonnaise sandwich. Whole meatball grinder not one meatball, just mashed meat, cheeseburger was about 1/4” thick and giant roll, again pretty much a bread sandwich. Won’t be going back for a 3rd time."

"I'm was absolutely blown away by how good their pizza and grinders are I'm new to the area and moved here from Connecticut the pizza capital so I'm picky when it comes to pizza and after moving here iv tried a few other pizza places in the area and none of them came close to being anything close to ct or nyc pizza so after talking with some friend they highly recommend Brooklyn Joe's so I finally tryed it tonight and now I'm mad I didnt find out about it or try it sooner because they definitely know how to make NYC style pzza that tastes authentic and the staff was absolutely awesome and friendly so I would highly recommend Brooklyn Joe's to anyone with out hesitating they definitely have the best pizza in town"

"ALL the food was inedible! taco bottoms were completely detached from shells. nach bel grande, meat and bean dried out. Evidently could not make any drink with cherry in it so substituted with mtn dew Baja blast. 1drink for 2.. Oh and only "2" packets of sauce for 4 people to share on many items! I wont order again.. $55. worth of garbage.."

"The food, cocktails service are the best we had the whole trip. Perfectly cooked scallops, fresh grilled veggies including zucchini asparagus and a delicious sauce. My wife had a Greek salad with free range chicken and also grilled veggies. Great service, great atmosphere."

"Never thought such a beautiful neighborhood would have such a poorly restaurant in it. Embarrassing. Our server name was Logan, she seems to be a little out of it. Probably should have management check on that… Got waters and she offered to bring us a pitcher because she quoted said “I may be too busy so I brought this over.” With 3 tables inside and 2 out, clearly “busy.” Leaving water marks on the table and not checking on us time to time.I ordered the burger special, I asked for my burger medium rare. 35 minutes later, the food comes out and theres a stick in my burger stating its medium rare. I sliced into my burger and I got medium well. Not to mention my plate was on fire. You could barely touch the plate. Ordered truffle fries and came out cold.. If I wanted them out of the freezer, I would've just went to Publix..Took the server 20 mins after her cleaning a table to come check on us all. I stated it didn't come out correctly and she didn't seem to kind to get it how I asked. I understand that it wasn't her fault.(Its the kitchen) Took 12 minutes to get a new burger and lets just say this to be kind. I wasn’t satisfy the second round. Got the bill and to get different fries, THEY CHARGE YOU $4 FOR COLD ONES. Server aside was just terrible, for all that (2hrs) I should’ve just went to Chili’s. Not to mention the ladies restroom is outside…. Disgusting . The server was so thrilled to talk about the Portable bathrooms…That says a lot, I will never return to this place. For this, they should let babcock bring back Table Tap restaurant. Will always love that restaurant. Wish I could rate a 0 star but just to be kind. I will only do one to share my experience."

"Slicing right in at 4.5 This somewhat hole in the wall is a great spot for Greek cravings. Glad to see there's a no-nonsense Greek spot in Punta Gorda. Their menu has great options and prices are very affordable and reasonable. If you're coming to be wowed by decor and fancy seating, go somewhere else. Ok, straight to the point... Gyro was great. Meat had great flavor and the salad was fresh. My small gripe is the Gyro should be either a tad bigger or have alittle more meat. Wife got the falafel platter which was pretty much an open face gyro but it also was flavorful and fresh. The baklava had great taste, just alittle on the too sweet side for my wife, so I finished it ?. As a note, the Baklava is only made with walnuts (no pistachios) so if you're looking for that combination, you're not getting it here. I will say that the service was impeccable. The lady (whom had a heavy accent) was amazing; constantly checking up on us and was very nice. We are coming back as this place has great potential."

"Went Saturday for the first time to celebrate my birthday, didn't have reservations so sat at the bar. (Were very busy, make reservations Heard they had gluten free options (I have celiac disease for over 12 years I was pleasantly surprised at what I could choose from. Kenzie at the bar answered all my questions and if she didn't know, went and asked the chef. I had spaghetti and meatballs, also gluten free bread, it was delicious. We will be back, I'm so excited to have found an Italian restaurant that treats me with care."

"We had a superb dining experience last night. I?m not a big masker but I really appreciated the courteous manner in which the management handled their customers? care. Upon arrival there is a hand sanitizing station and a box of masks. You are politely asked to mask as you walk to your table. Upon being seated we noticed a sign explaining their policy and a wax paper envelope to store your mask in while at your table. The menus were nicely printed on decent paper and then we noticed the server throw them away after we ordered. Each person is given a new menu. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness. We started out with the A Warm Goat: Warm Goat Cheese In Herbed Oil, Roasted Garlic, Kalamata Olive Tapenade, Caponata Roasted Peppers, Grilled Crostini For supper I ordered DUCK A DEUX FACONS: Crispy Confit of Duck Garlic Marinated Duck Breast, Wilted Greens, Whipped Golden Potatoes, Lentil-Pancetta Vinaigrette, Thyme Jus. All I can tell you is that eating this was like a symphony in my mouth! My husband ordered up PIG FIG: Grilled Berkshire Bone in Pork Chop Topped with Bruleed Mission Figs,Potato Carrot Gratin, Baby Kale, Fiji Apples Stone Fruit Glace?. This was equally spectacular! Chef Jeanie Roland has earned her reputation and our dinner could have been another ?beat Bobby Flay? under her belt!"

"It's often been said speak to the locals for the best spots to go out.to eat. Thanks to a local, found this spot. Having been to Punta Gorda for several years now, passed by this place several times while driving on Route 41 and never new it existeduntil my most recent trip. As many know, there are often great things at the end of a rainbow ???? and during my visit, therainbow end was at the Riviera! Opted to sit ar the bar and soon had a cold beer on tap Brooke, our server was friendly anddid a great job. Thanks to some recon, saw gooe reviews on the Calamari appatizer and the Lobster Roll. Bith were reallygood and when served with cold beer, made for a fun a great night out. Well definitely visit again. Other guests on out partyhas some good looking food and may pick from their land based items next time."

"My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful anniversary evening on the deck! And yes, I would absolutely recommend reservations any time of year, especially for a deck table. The harbour views are really what make this place! I enjoyed the Steampot while my husband had the Alaskan, both a good quantity of food. A bottle of wine and a few glasses of champs for a toast rounded out our meal! Our server was very personable, and once we mentioned we were there for our anniversary, he really went above and beyond, offering to take photos of us, in various settings enjoying our evening!"

"I just finally went to the Burger Barn for the first time. I've been meaning to do it for a long time. And I'm so glad I did! I always get a turkey burger or veggie burger when I go out and it's always dry and nasty. This is the first time I've ever found one that's actually juicy and yummy!! And it's dog friendly which is a big bonus!! I was so pleased with the food and the service that I grabbed my son and took him the next time I went. Just so tickled I found a new place to go out to lunch with my son and my dog."

"Wanted to give 4 stars because the food was so good but unfortunately the service was terrible. Visited while there was the nor tech fun run. Many places were slammed and this one was a good choice as they were not busy. With the pandemic causing a staffing shortage, it is very understandable that the service can be slow. They only had one bartender and she was doing her best to keep up. Where the service lacked was the personality of the host. There was no greeting of a friendly smile and almost as if people coming in were a burden to him. Even though there were tables outside, they were reservation only. Unfortunate but we were okay with sitting in. The waitress also took a considerable amount of time to acknowledge our table. On the good note though, the blood orange margarita was delicious. And the drunken hogfish sandwich was awesome! Definitely would still come back if I'm ever in the area."
