"Love this place. Great home style cooking and awesome service. Regardless of how busy they most often are, they provide very fast and personable service. You know if the locals frequent the place its got to be good. The owner, Peter has kept the tradition alive, that you are not just a customer, you are family. Its very rare to find a restaurant now days where the servers care enough about you to remember you. But this awesome wait staff go far and above that and after only a couple of times remember you by name and are happy to see you again. The kitchen staff are the same. They take personal care in preparing your food and they sure give portions you won't find anywhere else. I highly recommend George's Southside for a great start to a great day."

"While I might have waited 20-30 minutes for an order, waiting was good! Our family enjoyed the shrimp dumplings, Thai soy sauce noodles (pad se ew), noodles bar and fish tacos. Each dish was very tasteful and flavored perfectly. Nothing was too salty or too spicy for us. The noodle bar will certainly be a fast favorite of us, especially when the weather gets cooler. But let me tell you... the fish tacos were AH-MAZING!!!! I never had one that was so delicious! The fish was well cooked, the carrots, cucumbers and daikon was absolutely perfect and the sauce above was just the right amount of spices and complements the other flavors beautifully. While you can experience a wait know that it is worth it!!! Edited to add... This is a welcoming leisure dining experience that has very friendly staff and owners."

"Fantastic food, but the real jewel is the authentic Mexican food in the restaurant. The food speaks for itself. The meat is delicious. All shrimps are fresh and crisp. The tortillas and bread used for the sandwiches are also really good. The fried beans are surely a favorite!! Also try the homemade sauces on the table. Very nice kick / unexpected flavors! I don't know what they were, but they're delicious!!"

"We went for crab legs. They are small, and some were overcooked. There are buckets everywhere in the restaurant for leaking roof. Vellas has good food and good service. It was one of my favorites. "All right. it seems we're down the hill. that was not bad, but there is no real waiting zone. we sat on one standing right on the line, so there was no private sphere. we only had people who watched us as they were waiting to be served. Eggs were dry, waffel was soggy and gummy, grumbs were completely dirty. I wouldn't recommend it, but our waitress was good enough, I guess."
