"Dinner took a long time and only 1/2 the food was ready when delivered for the fried chicken dinner. Was told by the waiter the other piece didn’t look good so they were remaking it. 30 minutes later the second piece was brought to the table. As it approach the table the smell of burnt food wafted in the air, it was placed on the table the piece was clearly blackened as in burned. I asked the waiter do you think that looks good he said no and I asked if he would’ve eaten it he said no. I then asked him why would he bring it to the table if he answered no to both of those questions. We asked for the check he brought it and said he took half off of that dinner and I said I was not satisfied w...

Service was extremely show. Almost 15 minutes to get drinks the restaurant was not busy. We ordered manager told us they were out of food would take too long to prepare. They were not going to fix it

Bridge Barrel has a beautiful view and we enjoyed the fresh food. If I were to make any suggestions, it would be to have more greens available with the main entree's. We shared a turkey club on another night and it was delicious but I think it could have been improved with a slice of tomato and some lettuce. I would definitely return the next time I'm in town!

This is the third time we dined at Bridge and Barrel. The view is awesome and it is a nice place to enjoy cocktails and enjoy the view. Unfortunately the menu is limited and does not cater to more conservative palates. The quality of food and service is not consistent; sometimes is amazing and others food is cold, service is slow or hardly existent. View and great selection of bourbons and drinks are the major pluses.

"First let me say the atmosphere is amazing, although a little loud, but in an exciting sort of way, not in a can 't hear your conversation sort of way! Our server, Christian, was amazing! He is absolutely one of the best in the business! He was knowledgable about the menu, the history of the building, bourbon and wine and more! Now on to the food! The crab cake appetizer was the very best we had ever eaten! It was pure crab with just enough bread crumbs on the outside to hold it together! Just big hunks of crab! Yum! We had heard so many times that Repeal had the best steaks in the city so we had to check it out. I am sad to say we do not agree! My filet was overcooked and actually charred on one side even though I ask for it to be medium well (a little pink). My husbands steak was under cooked even though he ask for medium well also. Yes, we could have sent them back, but unless something is inedible, we rarely do. We were just disappointed more than anything, steaks were still very edible and good, just not great! The $20 twice baked potato was not worth $20 even though it did have slices of truffle on top and truffle oil as an ingredient. The Caesar salad was a disappointment! The addition of white anchovies was different but did not elevate the salad in our opinion. The bread pudding was amazing! I highly recommend! Oh, the cocktails were subpar! I know this sounds like a total tear down of Repeal, but it is not! I think we had too high expectations and were just let down by our experience considering the price! So, with all that said, would I go back? Yes! I would but would chose very different menu items than this time. And I would probably skip cocktails and go for wine instead."

"Their customer care stinks. While the service and food (eventually) was good their treatment of customers isn't. After spilling the entrée on me, they acted as if that was my fault. The manager did not come to check on us until much later and when he did he had the idea the spill was my fault. No offer to comp desert and no real apology."

"the proof was not disappointed again. the atmosphere kept our spirits raised, our server was incredible and interacted perfectly with us, eating was delicious and the liberations were exactly as ordered and hoped. the red pinguin was also fantastic company and added to the conversation without talking a word. ha! I always recommend proof as a go-to for a funny, fabulous experience!"

"we were at gary’s at several locations. all very well, but this last visit. service was exceptionally bad for a restaurant of this quality. it was obvious that the young man was overwhelmed with the number of tables he had to deal with. the drinks were slow and wrong. the order was very slow in coming. Eat was good, but steak overcooked. the chef came out to solve problems (more other tables had similar complaints.) we really feel that this whole experience is due to the fact that the management was not right in preparing our young waiters. he was a very pleasant young man, and it was clear that he tried to do his best. the cook actually called him to the table when we tried to explain our problems. he has brought the poor guy to the spot. it was very embarrassing for him and unpleasant for us. the chef then said that they probably need more waiters that we told him we believe this is a management problem and then leave. our waiter will most likely be excellent if he is properly trained and experienced. no restaurant of this kaliber should allow a worker to perform his tasks without completely preparing them."
