"I visited three BBC locations in Cape Town and they all maintained top-notch consistency. They are child-friendly, with options for families who enjoy good pub food. The beer selection is extensive, and prices are affordable. Despite a busy night, we received excellent service from a waitress who went out of her way to ensure our table was happy. She even noticed it was our daughters' birthdays and surprised them with a cake, which was a delightful touch. The burgers and fish dishes were delicious. Highly recommended!"

The waitress was very slow during our visit. After sitting down for 10 minutes, she finally took our drink order. Another 15 minutes passed before she returned to take our food order. While she was nice and the restaurant itself was pleasant, the service left much to be desired.

Great location! Very tasty burger with brioche-backs (bretzel-backs and other types of rolls were also available) and a perfect fresh patty. Homemade chips were crispy and beautifully spiced. Fast and friendly service. atmosphere was beautiful, decoration is amazing. Really like a British pub. The restroom was very clean.

"We had an amazing experience celebrating a milestone birthday at this stunning converted abbey on Scenic 6A. From the moment we arrived, the host and waiter took care of our large party with a warm and professional touch. The martinis and craft cocktails were excellent and arrived promptly, along with a tasty basket of warm rolls. The appetizers and salads were exceptional and plentiful, including tuna tartare, charred octopus, blueberry mango salad, and crab cakes. We tried a variety of main dishes such as lamb wellington, local scallops, roasted duck confit, short ribs, and filet with shrimp surf and turf. Sides of potato galette and asparagus accompanied many of the dishes. Some items were slightly under seasoned, but it was not a major issue. The desserts, including key lime pie, chocolate almond crunch tartlet, and profiteroles, were delicious but unnecessary due to the generous portions. Our waiter, Jafar, was attentive and responded quickly to all our requests with a smile. While the prices were higher for a special occasion, the experience was well worth it. The main dining room and bar were beautifully decorated, and there were also a few private dining spaces available."

"The pork cut had been brined and was absolutely tender and full of flavor. The crab cake appetizer was delicious. Nice selection of wines by the glass. We ate in the tavern, but the noise level was a bit high. Nice fire burned in the fire place. Our waiter had a nice sense of humor!"

"my man and I love this place, and more than once we have ordered as we from the city company to share the quality! they can say that they use fresh, qualitatiw high quality ingredients and we have enjoyed everything we have ever received. the thai chicken burrito bowl they have made in past, and the youngest otg burrito are particularly fantastic. their prices are reasonable and service was always fast and friendly. the city sandwich has nothing else now, and we can only hope that phattys is here to stay for a long time!"

"This is a traditional place that is what I consider a fish fry. You'll get nice healthy options for fish but they are not a good restaurant. I have food sensitivities and allergies and they were not accommodating nor helpful whatsoever. I was able to have a baked haddock. On my plate I had very few options because of my allergies. They were not willing to even give me a vegetable. They wanted to upcharge me $3. So I paid for a haddock plate definitely over what good restaurants charge. $20 for a piece of fish. The stuffing was absolutely disgusting. It is equal to whatever they scoop out of a container and put on anything that is considered stuffed. I actually got sick from that consistency. I did question whether the person that took my order didn't do a good job following my order through my allergies. I am possibly certain that the mistake is in that stuffing.I will say if you like traditional anything fried with fish you'll probably like it there. The staff that takes your order definitely needs more training. This is the McDonald's of fish fry. You'll get everything that you want at this place. But they will not be considerate towards any needs towards your food allergies. You get what you get and that's it. I scored it 3 because other people enjoyed their meals this day. If it was just up to me I would rate it a 2.And I had to make mention because it's so surprising to say that a lobster roll is $25 but an extra large lobster roll is $45... Not worth it at all. Go to a nicer place if you're willing to spend $45 on a lobster roll.
