We sat at the kitchen table and had great service from Barry! The kitchen staff was very entertaining. laughed. Norrese was very helpful and even showed us the Entrees before they left the kitchen. Very funny experience! I recommend!!

We had a fabulous dinner here tonight! Amazing service, superb manager, and lots of yummy food. My daughter said she would rate it 100,500 stars if she could and my son said it was the best night ever! . The staff all seemed genuinely happy to be working there and it showed in the service.

"So yummy! Very nice service. Small, cozy interior. Came on a Saturday and they were serving the all you can eat buffet for $10.50 Made to order omelets with a bevy of toppings. Made to order French toast also with multiple kinds and toppings. Offerings on the buffet were bacon, sausage links, ham, hashbrown casserole, grits white gravy, Belgian waffles, salsa, and biscuits. Everything was fresh and hot. We will be going again!"

"We came for an early dinner. I am not a fan of Mexican food at all so came here with trepidation. We had the Mexican street tacos, the el Pastor and Toruca. We also order an appetizer, chorizo queso dip. The tacos were amazing! So was the appetizer. We finished off the meal with homemade flan, again delicious! The picture shows two tacos but it actually came with three. Prices were very reasonable. Appetizers, two taco plates, flan and a beer, total was $38 not including tip. This place is a gem."

"OMG, ya'll the Viking Burger is AWESOME!! All the food is very good, I'm so glad to have such a variety and such a friendly place to eat. I always bump into someone I know there. It IS the place to be in Newland. The Calvert's do it up right!!!!!!!!!!"

"An absolutely wonderful, local, breakfast/lunch diner – type family restaurant where you are tended to as if you were a valued family member, served food that’s perfectly prepared and never nagged with that insecure server, asking “how is everything“ every 20 seconds. The corn beef hash is homemade and with two poached eggs and a biscuit with some cheese grits? That’s a breakfast from heaven. Don’t miss this place if you’re in the Linville crossroad area."
