"I wasn't planning to write a review for this place because I feel a bit sorry for the owner. He’s putting in the effort, but the positive reviews seem to be mostly from visitors unfamiliar with NC BBQ. I’m giving it a 3-star rating due to the excellent staff. However, when it comes to flavor, there was no smoked taste in the meat; all I could really taste was chili powder. I ordered the pulled pork, and my wife had a half chicken. Everything was overwhelmingly flavored with chili powder, even the sauces. I’m sorry, Tony, but we won’t be coming back. To others considering this place, feel free to give it a try, but I personally would prefer places like Mission BBQ, Smithfield, or Moore's."
