"I heard someone talk about ikigai at a nearby brewery, so we were very excited to try a sushi spot in waukegan. we were not satisfied with ikigai. the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. our server offered to answer all the questions we had about the menu, and the service was very fast. we ordered the chicken and black dumplings as an appetizer. they were unbelievable, and I loved the sose so much that I asked to keep the sose for our rolling. our server brought us a fresh bowl of sauce because I loved it very much. we ordered three different rolls for dinner the spicy thunfish roll, the spider roll and the waukegan roll. I couldn't tell you what my favorite was. they were all amazing and the portions of the fish in each roll were super generous. Note: I always have problems with the use of chipsticks. (I owe it to you to be left behind, but I know that's just an excuse. one of the employees recognized this and immediately offered a great tutorial on the use of file printers. it was very appreciated! we will definitely be regular!"

"I didn't get a chance to make a picture of my food because I ate it too fast! Lol the Speck Cheeseburger was great, really juicy and tasteful. I also have the cheeseries and the cheese is good cheese. My partner got the Giro and Pommes and he said it was really good. This will be our new way, it is hard to find good Chicago style food here. We definitely recommend it!!"

"I only give it one star, since it is the first time I have entered this place, and what I could see is that it is too dirty, inside and out. They do use gloves for preparation but its walls are black with dirt., I ordered hot dogs to take away and a hamburger. But the hot dogs were terrible, the sausage looked like plastic, you couldn't bite it, the hamburger was very good."

"This is our go to spot on Sundays. They have this amazing cream of chicken soup. Once again you know how kids are picky. Mine love the soup here. Omelets are really good so are the skillets."
