While the initial greeting was warm and welcoming, the experience quickly soured. Despite an incredibly lengthy wait, and lack of service, we were excited when our food arrived.I ordered a waffle with burboun apples and candied walnuts...sounds delicious, right!? I wouldn't know as I received a plain waffle. When I questioned my order the gentleman took it back stating that he would return with the correct order. After quite some time, someone else...

It was slow on a Monday evening in May, lots of seating available in the dining room and the bar area. Our server was wonderful, timely, detail oriented, checked on us frequently, and was friendly knowledgeable regarding the menu. We all enjoyed our food; the crab cakes were delicious.

Our experience each and every time we go to Grateful Goat is fantastic. It meets or exceeds expectations every single time. This time, unfortunately, was Mother's Day, and unfortunately, the staff was simply overrun with patrons..........some simply unreasonable, and in some cases simply mean. The food was oddly only good, it's usually spectacular. But what made our visit memorable was our waitress this day, and the hostess, who was simply unbelievable in how she handled the onslaught of people. In any case.........Well done Grateful Goat, we'll be back.
