"Ate the mouthwatering Archie panini and the accompanying side salad. The Archie showed me how to correctly blend gouda cheese, artichoke hearts and honey. Hung on the wall is some unassuming art. As I was noting the picture of a happy goat, the owner mentioned that embedded in each piece is a scanable code that takes your phone to a farm. I also noted a well stocked refrigerated case of unique cheeses. I will return to sample more menu items and I may try some of their jalapeño brie."

"Dirty glass had tajin and piece of black piece Waiter too him 15 min to come to our table Requested enchiladas shrimp they gave chicken, he questioned me he said I order chicken, I apologize said if I did sorry, may I please get shrimp Plate comes back with chicken and stuffed with shrimp 2 piece shrimp in my enchiladas. Told and showed waiter look my enchiladas it’s pollo, again he questions me said I saw shrimp.yes only at edge, cut open enchiladas with chicken and 2 piece shrimp. Kitchen thought I was not goin to noticed the difference? Waiter service was just bad, no personality of what so ever. Mr. TEMPO I followed you on social media You predict awasome service, top of the best, you’re manager just passed by all tables, no greeting no connection. Waiter was having a great time with other guest leaning on table and having a great conversation. Never came back to check on us. We were helped out by ur busboy. Yes tip was was given I did not take pictures of eaten food. To proof this. Tempo get on top of this Brea At end waiter noticed we are not pleased, bring cart of churros for inconvenience. Was charge enchiladas with pollo plus $7.00 for shrimp."

"I recently visited Izakaya Takasei and had a mixed experience.My boyfriend and I ordered the takoyaki, chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl, several yakitori, takowasabi (raw octopus with wasabi), and the Kobe beef roll. While the takoyaki and yakitori were delicious, the chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl was really bland. The Kobe beef roll was a bit odd with the combination of garlic butter and tataki sauce. Unfortunately, there were also a few items on the menu that were no longer available, which was a bit disappointing. It would be good for the restaurant to update their menu to avoid any confusion or disappointments.While the food at Izakaya Takasei comes out quickly, this can also be a double-edged sword. During my visit, my boyfriend and I received several dishes at once, which meant that a lot of our food was sitting out and getting cold while we were eating the others. It would be great if the kitchen could pace the dishes better to ensure that everything is served at the optimal temperature.The service was a bit lackluster as well. The only time we were able to ask for condiments, utensils, and more water was when the employees brought our food out. No one checked on us throughout our meal, and it would have been nice to have a more attentive staff.On the plus side, the restaurant has nice Japanese decor and is quite spacious. However, there was no background music, which made the ambiance a bit dull.Overall, while there were some drawbacks, Izakaya Takasei may be worth checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for some Japanese cuisine. Just be sure to join the wait-list on Yelp beforehand and check in with the host when you arrive."

"To start things off, the breakfast burritos are good. The reason I’m writing a negative review is because of the cashier. There’s two of them but the younger taller well-rounded girl is quite rude. I usually go in there for breakfast burritos. I’ve been attended by her 3 times and each time I’ve gone to pick up my order she basically throws it on the counter I can hear it hit the counter. Its a heavy burrito. It’s almost as if she’s throwing me food like a dog. She either needs training on how to handle food and customers or she needs to be replaced. The other cashier that works there doesn’t do that to my food. I’m about to eat this food that I purchased from your amazing restaurant, It’s a pet peeve when I see people treating my food that way. Why do I want to keep coming back and being treated the same way. Even though the food outweighs the service I don’t like being treated that way and I know one person not going to the restaurant is not going to make a difference but hopefully this review will be brought to the owners attention how she’s treating her customers or possibly just me I have no idea. As much as I want to keep spending my hard earned money on their delicious food, today’s the last burrito I’ve ever buy from them thanks to her unprofessionalism."

"Keeping for a quick lunch on our anniversary and what a surprising pleasure in great food and customer service. We ordered street maisfries, wings, corn dogs and a southwestern fried chicken salad and all tasted great. We will definitely come back to a feast. They even treated us with garlic chips as welcome to eat here for the first time."
