"Been driving past there for years..finally went there yesterday for Lunch, our meals were excellent, the service was excellent, the Reeses cheesecake was real good. The meatball dish was full of flavor, and cooked just right. The chicken Caesar was tasteful and the bread bowl was baked perfectly. I normally do not like hummus, but the hummus served with the bread has just the right amount of garlic.."

"After a tour through Gettysburg we wanted to continue the historical feeling and get a table at Dobbin House Tavern. By leaving the cold into the reception area with the wood burning fireplace gave an immediate warmth of body and mind. All employees are dressed in the period and the restaurant makes you feel like you are back in the late 1700s. The freshly baked breads were delicious, the French onion soup was incredible, and even the salads were fresh. I had the catch of the day (salmon) that came with potatoes, but I upgraded to delicious Brussels shoots. My mom had a crab cake she shaved. With just enough space, we split a homemade piece of Pecan Pier with some whipped cream that was the perfect end of an incredible meal. The service was also phenomenal. And then we visited the area that served as part of the subway. Very recommended to eat here!"

"The M/D Distillery is a usual spot for us when we are visiting Gettysburg. We were there this past Saturday (10/15/23) a little after noon. The service was great. The food was awesome. I had the lobster roll. It was the BEST I 've ever had. My husband had the shrimp and grits...it was loaded with sausage and very tasty. Our daughter had the burger which was equally delicious. We love it here! It is always nice to have a table side visit from the owner (this time beautiful baby in tow); you can tell that he is very passionate about the distilled spirits, but also about the food. It is off the beaten path, but it is so nice to have plentiful, free parking. We will return again and again. THANKS!"

"Overall, if you are outside the city like me, this is a good stop for a nice dinner. Came for the pasta the day before a marathon. We're early at 4:00, so the staff was attentive. The food was delicious. Very wide choice of meals. I had Shrimp Diavolo. At $20, the price is somewhat steep as I saw it for $17 other places. Appetizer was delicious, Caesar Salad was beautiful and crisp. The only knock was they don't bring the bread to our table. If you want to put a nice dinner, I suggest trying."
