"Nicer than expected. Rustic well decorated with a lot of character. We were greeted at the door and the waitress seemed very experienced. She was very friendly and attentive, although they were pretty busy. I had the chicken roasted steak it was very good, properly cooked, on the inside tender and crispy on the outside and fair size. The severity was good too. The baked potato had crispy bacon slices, butter, sour cream and chives. The salad was fresh and crisp with the dressage served on the side. Connie had the barbeque baked potato. She said it was very good. The tea was very sweet, but delicious. Parking was on the back of the building and the entrance was nearer to the parking lot on the east side. The front doors were not functional. The bar was nice and seemed to have several drinks specialties. There was a beer garden outside. It was shaded with several tables and a small stage."

"How very sad for this Resturant. Around a month a ago, They have changed the type of oil they cook with and it is destroying the flavor of the chicken and the fry’s. I threw away the last order I got from there . It was so bad that even my cat who loves chicken from there , turned up his nose and walked away. Good luck chicken express in finding a compatible oil to use."

"I’m from Independence , kansas my son took me there and I have NEVER seen such a chicken fried steak it was huge in fact my done and I shared it. It was great and the waiter was excellent everyone very friendly .will sure go back."
