"we have been going to su casa restaurant in fenville for about 8 years. we were presented to him by our son who had lived in mexiko for 2 years. su casa was the closest to west michigan, which he ate in yautepec and lomas de cocoyoc (1/5 hours from mexico city). everything is from ground up, I believe, and they have a food store where they can buy what they work with. Everything's good. new building that they are spacious for several years, yet the prices are very reasonable. near saugatuck and douglas great tourist cities."

"I was there recently as part of an apple picking orchard visit with kids and grand kid, and we waited about an hour to get in for lunch. They don't have a lot of vegan stuff, but what they do have is EXCELLENT. I had to wrangle with the idea of their own homemade garden burger or what I ended up having, which was a kick ass vegan wrap. I didn't need to make any substitutions with this the burger you'll need to leave the toppings off for the most part. But holy cow was that wrap good. And believe it or not, most of their pies are safe for vegans they only use margarine for the crust. I had a slice of rhubarb raspberry, and it was fantastic. The place is large and long once you're done dining, or if you want to skip dining, they have remodeled their pantry bakery in case you want to get your own pies in addition to other things that may be vegetarian friendly but not vegan . The apple butter bread is addictive. The pies you can get frozen or freshly baked. Prices are reasonable for what you get."

"My family had such a great experience at Salt of the Earth! The whole family enjoyed the bread board to start. We got a side of brussels sprouts to have as an appetizer as well. I was worried I wouldn't like the maple balsamic combo but it was perfectly balanced. The kids mac and cheese was unbelievable. My daughter has eaten many restaurant mac and cheese dishes and declared it the best ever! I also had pasta, a chicken and vegetable dish, and it was fresh and light. My husband had the hanger steak, it was tender and the chimichurri was bright and complimented it well. Lastly, my son got the salmon which they were happy to customize for him (switching out the sides for fries) and he was super happy with it. We got the s'mores for dessert and it was huge and over the top but definitely a must try at least once! I almost forgot, we got a couple of their specialty cocktails and they were unique and delicious. Five stars, can't wait until we are back in Fennville so we can visit again! We got lucky and were able to be squeezed in when we visited but next time we will be sure to make reservations in advance. Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu with delicious options, and they were able to adjust an adult meal a little so it would appeal to a 12 year old."

"It was amazing! My fiancée and I started off with an espresso, and he ordered the handmade sausage sandwich while I opted for a breakfast sandwich on one of their homemade croissants. The standout of our sandwiches was definitely the homemade sausage, which we both couldn't get enough of. Even though we were already full, we couldn't resist trying the lemon-blueberry scones that were a hit this morning, and we wished we could have more. The prices were very reasonable, and the portions were generous. The café is connected to a collaborative artist shop with a variety of unique items. We purchased two mugs from the café owner (who also makes the sausages, croissants, and more) as well as some jam. We're looking forward to returning to sample more items from the menu (I've heard their frittatas are delicious)!"
