"We were 4 and a few before us, when they had to close an hour early for unknown reasons). Our waitress Shar said she'd ask the cooks if they stay open and cook for us and mine! My husband and our friend had the best ribs they had in a long time! My Bison Burger was amazing and our waffles fries with the Buck Stop Seasoning were sooo good. Great service. Great food. We'd come back if we lived somewhere near here! We even bought homemade spices to take home."

I wanted to get Steaks to the mother's dinner. The best steak we've ever cooked. Metzger was friendly and knowledgeable. Great business.

The best place in town (especially if you like meat). Small dining area, but there is a meat display case you can choose your own cut to cook. Had a great rib here, cooked and seasoned nicely. Fast and efficient on a Tuesday night.

I've been looking for high-quality filets for homemade steaks since we left Texas (HEB USDA Prime-equivalent) and The Buck Stops Here is the only place in Pagosa Springs that can not only meet but go beyond what I like to remember. If you want meat cuts from people who care, that is it. It's been a year since I had this good steak without paying her in a high-end restaurant.
