"My wife and I were in town and decided to have dinner at The Butcher Block. On the website it said they were open until 10, when we arrived at 8 there was a sign on the door that read they were closing at 9. That being said the service was still excellent and we never felt rushed. We ordered cheese curds for an appetizer, they arrived quickly and tasted great. My wife ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl for her dinner and I ordered chicken fried steak with a side salad. The side salad was a bowl of lettuce with three slices of tomatoes on it so nothing special. The chicken fried steak however was massive and tasted great! The steak fries were ok. Overall for roughly $17 it was worth the price....

Service was good, Alex did a nice job. Very polite. He’s the only reason for 4 stars. Appetizer of cheese curds was great. Chicken fried steak was chewy and tough. French fries were not crispy, but mushy instead. Cocktails were well made. Kid-friendliness: Kids are everywhere and the place is loud. Not a good place for a date night or quiet dinner.
