"Walked in with a reservation. Restaurant failed to reserve a table for us. Once seated at a table not accommodating for our party of 5, no one ever greeted us, apologized for the wait,nor took our drink order. We were completely disregarded. After waiting over 30 minutes with no one ever approaching our table or checking in on us, we decided to leave. We have been loyal customers frequenting Pizzaiolo on the average of 2 times per month over the past 8 years. We’ve experienced a decline in the service since the manager left along with one of our favorite, long-standing waitresses. The experience is just not the same and this last visit was the clincher. It’s such a shame because it’s our favorite go-to restaurant for our family, and now we feel like we need to move on. Such a disappointment."

"We came to an early evening dinner without the kids and really enjoyed sitting outside in the tent. The service was correct, attentive, but not overlaid and our waiter had great suggestions. We had the fried Calamari, which was light and tasty with a wonderful marinara sauce on the side. We also had a fig with blue cheese salad from the specials, which was a great combination of flavors. For the net, my wife really enjoyed the bay of Scallops dinner while I had a large double veal with a large mushroom sauce. Both dinners had the same mash and green beans side. Desserts were also well executed, with the lemonecello cake was the stand out. I'll be back soon and probably bring the kids."

"I am underwhelmed. Its not bad, but it 's not its current rating of 4.7 stars either. I donr order sushi often, only when I am really craving it and so I always hope its really good and this just wasn 't. It was okay, edible, but definitely didn 't wow me in any way. It 's eh . Id order again to see if I just caught them on an off day but I definitely wouldnt recommend based on todays experience. There are better places close by."

"I highly recommend this restaurant. Even though there are many Japanese sushi restaurants in Northern Jersey, it is quite difficult to find a good authentic one. My wife and I had their sushi for two. I was highly impressed. The pieces were quite big and everything tasted very fresh. We also order ankimo for an appetizer. It is very difficult to find ankimo in New Jersey. In the nearly 20 years I've been here, I only had it at a few restaurants. This place's ankimo tasted just like it does in Japan. My kids had the nabeyaki udon. It even came with clams. It was also very delicious."

"That was a nice surprise for a bar of pizza. The crust was crispy, the cheese was super fresh and the sauce was excellent. Loved like his and individual pizza with mini slices. The perfect portion per bite. It was a surprise and I'm sure it'll be back. Great customer service with excellent food. Great job."
